Southwell Retreat is tucked just a ten minute walk from the pretty minster town of Southwell, offering a set of ensuite pods with luxury interiors. Each pod comes with chic furnishings, cosy beds, underfloor heating and a fire pit outside, two have a wood-burning hot tub! There is a great range of pubs within walking distance, along with the National Trust Workhouse just next door and Sherwood Forest a 30 minute drive away, great for days out!

About the site
This peaceful and secluded setting is the perfect place to relax and spend time with loved ones. Just a 15 minute walk from Southwell town centre with charming pubs and shops, you will have everything you need within easy reach. The site features three pods, Daisy, Lily and Blubell, each including a cosy, modern interior to sleep up to four people with a double bed and sofa bed. You will also have a kitchenette including an electric hob, kettle, sink, toaster and fridge freezer, so you have all of the essentials for self-catering. There's also a dining table with four chairs along with underfloor heating, perfect for those cooler months. You will also have your own ensuite with a toilet, shower and washbasin, so there is no need to leave the warmth of your cosy accommodation. A fourth pod named Rosy offers you all the same luxury as the previous three but has a king-size bed and infrared heating. Bluebell pod and Rosy pod also have a log-burning hot tub! Bedding, towels and toiletries are all provided. Outside is a picnic table with the option to hire a BBQ or fire pit if you wish, perfect for nights of toasting marshmallows. Three pods welcome one small, well-behaved dog so that you can bring your pooch on holiday with you. The other pod is pet-free.

I wish I could give more stars, to be honest. Stayed in the Bluebell Pod, which has its own Gazebo, a very nice touch. All pods have a seating area outside and grills too. The pods themselves were well stocked with all the essentials - microwave, kettle, toaster, mugs, plastic cups and more. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, very big and comfortable. Cleanliness was a great standard, especially considering it's in the countryside. Lindsay, the host was so warm and welcoming, great at recommending things to do in the surrounding area. Thank you, would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fantastic stay in the most beautiful location. We chose this site as it was one of the very few sites that did 1 night stay rather than minimum of 2. The 4 of us girls stayed in the Bluebell Pod, which was so cute and had everything you need, plus a hot tub. But what we didn't know was that it had a beautiful gazebo setting with lounge area. We had planned to go out but it was too beautiful & relaxing to leave. Hot tub, chatting and perfect location, we didn't need to go anywhere else. The host Lindsey was brilliant. Anything we needed she got and we could even check in earlier as we requested. Perfect weekend with beautiful weather. We will be back.
