When it comes to family activities and days out, Norfolk really has something for everyone. Holme Dunes beach is just a 25 minute walk from camp and is lovely and quiet. Head to the golden sands which stretch for miles along the Wild Life Trust, just next-door to the site. This is the site of England's Sea Henge.
Drove Orchards rural market is under a five minute walk away with a fantastic play area for the children as well as a woodland adventure area complete with a zip line to keep them entertained for hours. Treat yourself to an ice cream from the parlour or some fresh apple juice from the farm shop. There is also a pamper parlour and antiques emporium!
Walk the dog, try kite-surfing or build the biggest sandcastle. For the nature lovers, wander around Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve, and get hands-on with creepy crawlies and spotting birds of prey. Bircham Windmill is the only working windmill open to the public and is a great starting point for cycle tours and adventure walks.
Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary is a 5 minute drive. Watch 'penguin playtime' and learn about sea turtles while exploring the stunning marine habitats at Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary.
Explore the grounds of Holkham Hall and spot the free roaming herds of deer. Norfolk's largest collection of military paraphernalia at the Muckleburgh Military Collection enables you to drive a tank and even try on military uniforms.
Turn back the clock as you travel the coastline in a restored stream engine on the North Norfolk Railway, and treat yourself to some fabulous seaside fish and chips en route. Amazona Zoo in Cromer boasts a huge collection of animals from across the world and is just a short distance from the famous Pier with all its attractions and the chance to sample some delicious Cromer Crab.
If your children are thrill seekers, head to EXtreeme Adventure, Swing through the trees and walk the high ropes - if you dare! If you want to get up close and personal with the wildlife then there is no better experience than a boat trip to see the seals from Blakeney.
