About Osea Meadows
Located by the estuary, at the edge of the town of Maldon, this family friendly site offers plenty of walking and cycling routes all around. During peak times, the site also has entertainment on offer so there is plenty to keep little ones busy, and adults too! For glampers, there are a wide range of different accommodation types to choose from. The site offers a range of glamping pods, each with heating, electric and WiFi. Sleeping up to four, the site offers five Malvern pods which come fitted with a double bed and bunk beds. Inside, you will find a fridge/freezer and seating with shared facilities nearby. The Royal and Duke pods sleep up to four with a double bed and a luxury sofa bed. These pods also have the added bonus of a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and toaster, along with a TV, underfloor heating and a modern ensuite with shower and loo. Outside is a decking with a picnic table, barrel BBQ, fire pit and log seating too. The largest pods are the Emperor Pods, each sleeping up to six with a separate double bedroom, twin room and double sofa bed. These feature heating, a TV, a full kitchen, ensuite with walk in shower, plus an outdoor fire pit, BBQ, seating and even a hot tub! The glass house has modern interiors, sleeping six with a double bed and two sofa beds. Inside is an ensuite, fully equipped kitchen, heating, USB charging and a TV. Large glass windows open out to the outside decking with a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ. Sorry, not pets. Please note, bedding and towels are not provided for glamping. There are also a selection of bell tents, shepherd's hut and safari tents on offer. Tents, caravans, campervans, motorhomes and RVs are also welcome with a range of 43 electric grass pitches. Each pitch allows up to four guests, with a 12 amp electric hook up available. Guests are also welcome to bring along a raised BBQ or fire pit to enjoy in the evening, with logs, charcoal and BBQs available to purchase onsite. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay!
Osea Meadows is open from 12/01 to 31/12 in 2024 and from 01/03 to 29/10 in 2025.
Shared facilities include two toilet and shower block and all guests will have access to the 'Garden Ark' with ice block storage and vending machines. There is also a bar and family friendly restaurant onsite, serving breakfast and evening food, with entertainment on during peak times. WiFi is available to all guests. The camping area also includes a kid's playground, outdoor gym and snack hut.
If heading off site, the Gardeners Farm Shop is a five minute drive away along with The Chequers Inn pub.

Great leisure park! Amazing facilities, so much to do for the kids. The pod is enough for 4 people easily and the outside seating is great.

Things to do on site and in the Maldon area
The site offers seasonal entertainment and a variety of events for children and adults. Expect everything from bingo and arts and crafts, to bouncy castles, face painting, live music and more!
You're staying in the beauty of the Blackwater Estuary, which not only provides a beautiful setting, but fantastic things to do. Maldon's Quay (15 minutes) is a lovely place to stroll, eat an ice cream and watch traditional sailing barges go past.
A little further afield, Colchester Zoo (25 minutes) is a huge family favourite that offers encounters with pandas, penguins and much more.
Tiptree (15 minutes) is famous for its jam, and the famous factory hosts a gift room and delicious tearoom for you to try. For a day out for the adults, make time for New Hall Vineyard's (35 minutes), 65 acres of gorgeous wine country.
