About Fairy Bell Wood
The picturesque yurt sits in a quiet clearing within Fairy Bell Wood, four acres of native woodland and a large wildlife pond in Cumbria. This site is ideal for a couple looking to reconnect with nature and spend some quality time together. The handcrafted yurt sleeps two adults and includes a fully equipped kitchen and toasty wood burner. You'll also have a bespoke double bed built from the surrounding trees and the kitchen made from reclaimed palettes. Across the way is a bathroom with an eco-shower and compost toilet. Embrace the opportunity to slow down. Spend your time wandering through the glades, watching the dragonflies dance across the pond, relaxing in a hammock by the firepit, and enjoying sunset over the Fells with a glass of wine in hand. The site is just ten minutes from the M6 and Kendal, the local town. It's also a short drive to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, perfect for hikers. BBQs are permitted as long as they are on gravel, and a firepit is provided. Pets are not permitted.

Site rules and policies
Check-in is 4pm onwards and check out is before 10am.
Firewood is provided, please don't burn wood from the woodland. More logs can located in the log store by the side of the yurt.
Please leave the yurt tidy upon check out. Smoking inside the yurt is not permitted.
Things to do on site and in the Kendal area
Onsite activities include wildlife watching, rambling, stargazing and campfire cooking. On rainy days, enjoy lighting the wood-burner and playing the board games provided.
With the Lake District National Park only 25 minutes away, it's also a great base for hikers.
