About the site

This peaceful campsite is set on a working farm in the Eden Valley. You'll feel relaxed as you gaze out over the picturesque surrounding countryside. There is a range of grass pitches for campers and tourers to choose between. Alder is a small secluded pitch for up to four people, and Kingfisher is a secluded pitch with views over the pond for up to six people. Each of these has its own private toilet, doesn't have electric and allows small tents only. There are then six non electric grass pitches suitable for a maximum of six people in either tents or campervans. Finally, there are non grass pitches with 16 amp electric hook up, also allowing six people in tents and campervans only. Each of these two options has its own fire pit, picnic bench and fishing lake views.. For something truly special, the "Big Bertha" airstream caravan is great for six people. This unique 1973 airstream has a double bed, set of bunks and convertible dining benches. There's an ensuite with a toilet and shower, lounge area and well-equipped kitchenette. Outside is a large decking with seating and a fire pit. All of the pitches are spacious and have beautiful waterside views as the Croglin Beck river winds its way through the site. As a result, wildlife is abundant here and includes roe deer, red squirrels, barn owls and kingfishers! No dogs allowed, sorry.

High Hall Campsite is open from 04/04 to 30/09.

Bell Tent - Bella Bell Tent Sep 2024

After tiny, and very fortunate for us, mix up we enjoyed a fabulous couple of nights in 'Big Bertha' with our son's little family nearby in a tent. The site has everything you could need, Bertha is very well appointed. There was nothing we needed which wasn't there. Fire pit and picnic bench included was a super touch and very welcome. After our little trip into the Lakes, the remoteness of the site was a blessing and a huge relief after the crowds and cars in the towns around Ullswater! Thank you all for a truly wonderful stay and we will definitely be back! Emma and family.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

This is in a beautiful location with large plots spaced out to give adequate privacy for everyone. Many of the plots are set in an idyllic riverside location, perfect for paddling in. It was fantastic that my autistic son could actually get to relax here due to the "no dogs policy" that is actually enforced. A rare thing to find these days!

Always amazing!

Our happy place! We love to come here everything is always spot on. The facilities, the food you can buy. We just ask for it when we book and it's always ready and waiting. The staff Tom, Jimmy and Fiona always make sure you're happy and comfortable, nothing is too much trouble. The pitches are great, so spacious. The beck running through is wonderful. It's so peaceful, beautiful and quiet. We can't wait to come back ☺️
