Little Trevothen was an excellent campsite for our first family camping adventure. Very clean facilities (inc hot showers!), great size pitches and love the little campsite shop too! Also a great base for exploring Coverack and beyond!

Just got back from a lovely stay at this wonderful site. Friendly welcome on arrival, beautifully kept grounds, shower blocks and washing up facilities kept lovely and clean, brilliant play area for the kids, and great sized pitches for camping. Would definitely return in the future.
Could do with more showers

Lovely spot, only saw hosts on check in, very they were very polite. I liked the gate which stops cars past 10pm - thought that was a great idea! Only thing I'd say was slightly below par. The toilet and shower facilities looked fairly new, but showers were small and the push button for water which only lasted 20 secs each time. Toilets weren't cleaned daily and heavy usage meant they were bit grubby most days. Park was great along with a little walk way. Nice place to stay overall.

This is our second time of camping, we asked for a quiet pitch as our child struggles with noise and I realise camping is different for different people. They listened and we got a lovely little pitch while the livelier people were on a different side, so they were happy too. We could not believe it was so quiet during the day and after 10pm. Quiet time is 10pm - 8am and yes, people naturally abide by this which is refreshing. Even early mornings, people did not surface until 8am onwards. Campers toilets have been recently refurbished, females have 4 toilets, 4 sinks and 2 showers. Men's have 3 toilets, urinals and 2 showers. Same for tourers. Has a games room, has a pool table, small sit down Pac-Man type thing which was 20p a game. Also has table football which I think was about £1, although not sure. Also a TV and sofa. Tue and Thur 5-8pm, The Dig-In takeaway truck comes and for a family it works out around £20 for dinner. The couple that run it are lovely, so kind and able to help. Yes, we were told to bring a certain length EHU lead, we forgot and ours was short, but we hired one for £5. Also, accidentally bought a cork wine bottle and no opener, they leant me one to bring back when I went to purchase one. Pitches a fair size, enough for a car and a good size tent. Has a large play area with swings and a couple of rotary lines. Two chest freezers for freezing ice blocks, launderette machines and a modern washing up area, although it has a small step and I did see a person in a wheelchair struggle to enter. Other than that, all seemed level entry. Has a small shop but seems to sell everything you need, we have been to C&CC sites where the shops don't even sell milk! So here was very refreshing. Near Coverack beach which is a shingle and sand beach, I didn't see any waves, water was aqua blue and clear. Families swimming in a shallow bay, SUP and inflatables. So inviting! Apparently takes about 20 minutes downhill to walk to (more on the way back as uphill). We drove it - honesty box car park in two parts, the larger of which has an approach on a slope which would make it tricky for people with limited abilities. Would totally book here again, about a 30 minute drive to Hayle, 18 minutes to a Sainsbury's, local pubs, 25 minutes to Falmouth.

Our first time in Cornwall, we were met with a warm welcome in Reception by the owner of the site. He showed us to our pitch, all the pitches are really well kept. We had a walk around the site, everything is kept in great condition, from the toilet/shower blocks, to the washing up facilities, to the play area. This is a very quiet location and quite a walk down to the beach, not one you would want to do if you're taking things with you. The owner of the site was informative about local walks and had maps for you to follow. The local hidden sculpture park is worth the walk. We had torrential rain and the pitch started to flood, we let them know and they were straight out digging a trench to release the water away from our awning, amazing service in the horrible weather conditions.

Depending on what you're going for, in the middle of nowhere but lovely and quiet. Walking distance to Coverack. Steep walk back but worth it. Lovely clean, well looked after site. We were on pitch T24 and had no TV signal or Wi-Fi.
Site's response
Thanks for your review and for staying with us at Little Trevothan, and we hope you will visit again. We love that you found our site peaceful and well looked after. We have cut back some branches on T24 and around this morning so wi-fi is now connecting and that should improve tv reception as well. Guests - please do let us know of any problems whilst you are with us, normally these can be rectified quickly.
Lovely site, worth a visit

You do need to follow the route advice given or you will have big problems. Lovely owners, nothing too much trouble. Clean and tidy. Our grass area was a little soggy but it was a very very wet weekend. Highly recommend. The facilities were brilliant. Beautiful area.

Thank you for staying with us and for your kind review. We do send out driving directions so guests can avoid those little narrower lanes we have in Cornwall. Glad they worked for you! Hope to see you again.

Excellently kept grounds, with a closed of dog run/play area. Very peaceful stay. Just over a mile walk down to the coast (Coverack I believe) where you'll find a chip shop and a bar or 2. Great place for a stop.

Highly recommend this campsite. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Campsite itself is very clean and tidy, toilet and showers were clean, most importantly it is an excellent campsite for children as there is park and a games room. 5* all the way. We will be definitely going back in future.

Quiet pitch, sociable neighbours. Facilities adequate for caravan, but no waste water drop-off point for a campervan. The showers and toilets are clean and tidy, although the shower curtains have seen better days. Electric hook up in the next field, but no hardship.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with us and for your review. I am sorry you weren't directed to our wastewater point on the park next to the toilet and shower block, as we usually point this out on the site map on arrival. We plan to cut the lower branches of the hedging between pitches to allow easier access to the neighbouring hook-up point, thank you for mentioning.
Hidden gem, had everything you need for a relaxing stay

Off the beaten track campsite with very friendly staff. Arrival was nice and simple as the sat-nav took us right to the reception. There are some single lane roads on the way but they do have several passing areas, so no problems for me in the camper. The facilities were very clean and the showers were nice and hot. They also had a wall mounted, fold out table for you to put clothes and wash bags on and hangers on the door. I don't like it when I have to use the floor for clothes etc so this was perfect for me. Check in and check out was 100% problem free and easy so a thumbs up there. We did use the shop which has all the essentials and the locally sourced bacon and sausages were very nice 👌🏻 Our plot was nice and spacious with easy hook up to the electric and nice short grass. Drinking water was only a very short walk away (I could see it from my camper). All in all, a very nice stay for myself, my wife and our four legged friend, who was loving life from the moment we arrived. I would definitely recommend this campsite, Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful little site, very welcoming and a lovely family feel. Little shop on site for essentials which we found very reasonably priced. Pitch was a good size and level. Nicely tucked away with easy access and just a mile walk down to a beautiful beach. You will need a car to venture further afield but a great base to explore from. Would wholly recommend.

Really nice location, close to beaches and other attractions are a short drive away. Super friendly staff, nice plots and awesome dog fields. They also had a cool games library as we forgot all our games! Showers and loos always clean with plenty of hot water and the drinking water was fresh and clean. Thanks for nice holiday.

Having not been on a camping holiday for a few years, we decided to visit Cornwall this time. We found this site searching availability for our dates, and selected it primarily due to its location, electric hook ups and toilet/shower facilities. Location - on Lizard, small villages and towns therefore relatively quiet. We avoided school holidays so the whole area wasn't too busy, but for us that was ideal. The site was easy to find too. Not too far from Helston with a variety of supermarkets for essentials, petrol etc. The location was perfect for exploring SW Cornwall, both by car and locally on foot. Arrival couldn't be simpler and we were shown our generously-sized pitch by the host and helped with the hook-up etc. The facilities were modern and clean - cleaned daily. The site is divided into small individual areas, so it wouldn't feel crowded even in high season. We didn't use the BBQ/firepits on offer to hire, nor the little shop, but it was good to know these were there if we needed them. The water tap in the camping field provided wonderful drinking water, much better than our midlands home! We didn't use the games room/play areas and we would suggest the site and location are good for families with small children, but teenagers would need to be interested more in outdoor activities, history, nature etc than typical teenage pursuits! That said, the on-site WiFi worked perfectly. The site is as advertised, and we couldn't find any faults at all. Definitely recommended for a peaceful and restful retreat, especially away from high season. We'll be back.

I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed staying at Little Trevothan Campsite. The service from the staff was excellent, the pitch was flat and perfect, surrounded by trees that shielded the tents from the wind. The showers, toilets etc were immaculate and cleaned at regular intervals. The washing up area was also kept in immaculate condition. On the whole, the grounds were beautiful. Thank you to all for a wonderful and memorable stay.

We spent 3 nights here and it was in such a good location to lots of surrounding beaches. The facilities were so clean and the pitches were really tidy and well presented. Lots of space attached to the electric hook-up pitches and we got a choice of pitch on arrival. Great value for money. The site felt very safe and secure and overall would 100% stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us Lola. You were our first brave campers this season and it was good you used the games room to get out of the rain! We hope you will come and stay again. Sue and Mark.
