On site there is an indoor heated pool and paddling pool to splash around in, bars to eat and drink in and a chance to catch the big game on the park's TV. Kids can blow off steam in the play areas or challenge each other to rounds of pool. There's a nature trail and crazy golf course to help you get active.
The park is just four minutes from the market town of Longridge. Visitors to Longridge may choose to eat out at the local pub - The White Bull at Alston, which serves delicious pub classics. For afternoon tea with a selection of lovely homemade goods the Potting Shed Café is perfect.
For golfing enthusiasts, Longridge boasts one of Lancashire's oldest golf clubs. The 5673 yards par 70 layout provides an excellent challenge to golfers of all abilities with stunning views over the Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland and Fylde coast.
The area has many fantastic walking routes such as Longridge Fell. The Forest of Bowland offers some of the most beautiful and remote walking in the country, from the grandeur and isolation of the moorland hills to the undulating lowlands with their distinctive pattern of settlements, woodland cloughs and river valleys.
Along with the fell tops and moors, there are extensive opportunities for shorter and less challenging routes in the valleys and by the river.
Less than nine miles from the park is Brockholes, a 250 acre nature reserve ideal for family fun days out. There are several walking trails which enable visitors to take in the beautiful scenery and a outdoor playground featuring a zip wire and climbing forest.
There is a café serving a breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea menu as well as a delicious Wallings ice cream parlour. Events at Brockholes occur throughout the year targeting all ages - for example there is an open-air theatre, guided walks and craft events.
Preston is half an hour's drive from the park. This lively city has great leisurely activities for younger children such as Energi - a large indoor trampoline centre. The city is renowned for the beautiful Avenham Park which has picturesque scenery with the stunning River Ribble backdrop. The park also has an outdoor play area designed for children.
Preston has a great range of both local and high street retailers making it an ideal shopping location. An indoor and outdoor market are open six days a week and sell a variety of goods from locally sourced foodstuffs to clothes and furniture.
