About the site
Tucked in the corner of a charming working farm next to the garden and stream, this modern and cosy pod offers the unique experience of staying in the heart of a farm. The pod is available for adults only, although there may be little ones onsite staying in the B&B. Furnished with a double bed made up for your arrival and a smart TV for cosying up in the evenings enjoying your favourite film or series. The pod has an open plan layout with a mini kitchen area containing a microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster as well as crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Next to this is a small dining area for enjoying your meals and an area to hang your clothes. Enjoy a homemade slice of cake and fresh milk in the fridge on arrival. There is also underfloor heating, free WiFi and electric sockets so you can stay connected throughout your stay. Towards the back of the pod is a luxurious, double-ended bath for relaxing evenings as well as an ensuite shower room complete with a shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail with towels provided - you will just need to bring along your toiletries. Outside of the pod is a veranda with seating to watch Farm life go by and make the most of the countryside views and dark skies at night. There is the option to hire a gas BBQ during your visit too. Next to the pod is a small garden with a stream running through, the perfect soundtrack to your holiday. The site also offers a B&B in the main farm building so you may see other guests onsite. Guests are provided with a bag of corn for feeding the hens and guests are also able to help collect their eggs! This peaceful site truly provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and the experience of living on a working farm with wake up calls from the cockerel, bleats from the sheep and the sound of owls hooting at night If you want to explore your surroundings, the town of Keswick is within a 20 minute drive and there are plenty of Wainwright's available on your doorstep so there's no need to take the car if you want to leave it behind! A complementary walk leaflet with two easy local walks and sheep identification quiz is also provided. Sorry, no dogs due to the working farm location.

The cabin/pod is located next to a farm down a long track. It's ideal if you're looking for somewhere quiet and not a park type place with several of these lumped together! Inside it was well kept and comfortable, everything worked. We also got a lovely complimentary home-made cake, and seeds so we could feed the chickens.

A comfortable pod with all the facilities you could want in beautiful and quiet valley. The bed was really comfy and the breakfast hamper is a brilliant idea, full of lovely tasty things. Great walks from the door and from Mungrisdale and the local pub Mill Inn is good for food. The pod is on a working farm and farmers do get up early! But it is generally quiet.

What a lovely place to spend a couple of nights chilling and experiencing a little bit of farm life for real. The pod is lovely and has everything you need. Great location for exploring the Lakeland fells.

Things to do on site and in the Penrith area
Set in a quieter corner of the Lake District, this site has plenty of activities and things to do nearby. Being at the foot of Carrock Fell, the site is perfect for keen walkers with the hike to the 931m peak of Skiddaw taking around three hours.
Carrock also has a rich mining history, and visitors can explore the main mine site at the top of the Swineside Valley, which takes approximately 40 minutes to walk to. From there, you can walk up onto the back of Carrock.
Take a boat trip across Ullswater and admire the views. Ullswater Steamers (30 minutes) have been offering cruises across the glorious lake since the 1900's with stop offs available all around the lake so you can hop on and off as you wish.
For those seeking a refreshing swim, Bowscale Tarn (15 minutes) offers wild swimming opportunities.
