About the site
Set in 10 acres of private ancient woodland on the Hampshire/Berkshire border Surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the North Wessex Downs AONB is this small and unique family run glamping site. Just 45 minutes from London, 45 minutes from the South coast and five minutes from the Historic Highclere Castle. There are two vintage styled pods each sleeping up to two adults and two children. Each one has a double bed with bedding, space for two optional z-beds or bring a travel cot and bedding. The pods are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including all cooking and washing up equipment, a toaster, fridge, kettle, bedding, towels and heating. Alternatively, the three 6m bell tents sleep up to two adults and four children in a double bed and four optional Z-beds. All bedding is provided. Space for own travel cot (please bring bedding). One has a Morocco-themed interior whilst the others have an Bedouin style and Jungle theme. All cooking and washing up equipment is also included. The tents are off grid so have a communal fridge freezer, log burning stove and whistling kettle so you can still have your morning cup of tea! Each unit has its own adjacent bathroom with flushing loo and hot shower as well as a private covered camp kitchen, with a gas stove and charcoal BBQ. There's also the communal brick built fire pit which the pods share in the main clearing but each tent has it's own steel firepit. All units look into the woodland, stunning views to wake up to! For panoramic star gazing Beacon Hill Highclere is only 5 minutes away, with all round views into Berkshire Hampshire and WIltshire, including the famous Watership Down! Near to the historic town of Newbury in Henry VIII's old hunting ground, there is much to do, from visiting historic sites to farm parks and museums, spectacular countryside walks and local pubs. Dogs are welcome, with up to two pups allowed per unit, but please note that if the pods are at full occupancy, it may be a squeeze.
The bell tents open from April to September and the pods are open all year until 22nd December.

A 6m bell tent in the style of a jungle camp. Inside is a double bed, fold out camp beds, wood burner and cooking area. All bedding, towels, cooking utensils and washing up equipment is included. Outside is a firepit. Private facilities are nearby.
