The Boe Rigg is a family friendly site in Northumberland's National Park, just five minutes from Bellingham and an hour from Newcastle upon Tyne. Choose between spacious non electric or electric grass tent pitches or electric hardstanding pitches for tourers. Some pitches are left slightly wild to give a more remote camping experience. Great onsite facilities with a bar/restaurant which serves locally made produce and crafts. Dog friendly.

We stayed at Boe Rigg for 3 nights 4-7 March. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is superb - very quiet but a short drive - 20 mins or so - or decent cycle ride to Kielder Lake and Forest where there are superb walks and cycle tracks. Bellingham is only 5 mins in the car and has pubs cafes and shops. There are limited electrical hook ups so best to book in season. The toilet block is clean and showers fine. There is a cafe and restaurant on site and the food is amazing - and big quantities! We have marked down a little as there seems to be quite a bit of work going on to improve the place and there are building bits lying around. A bit of a clear up needed to improve the scores and justify price. Overall we had a good stay.

Had a very enjoyable weekend visit. The site was very quiet, although it was a weekend in February, but the owners were very hospitable. Service in the bar and restaurant was very good and the food was delicious. Excellent breakfast too. The site is also five minutes from Bellingham which is well-served with shops, pubs and cafes.
Fabulous place, can’t wait to book again for longer!

A lovely, rural sight, with fabulous views and great for children as lots of animals to see. The owners let my children feed the sheep and geese and it made their trip! Lovely food, lovely welcoming bar and restaurant and very friendly people.

We had a two night stay and were not disappointed. Friendly staff and a good bar and restaurant, with lovely food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed local walks, ideally located for exploring the dark sky area.

Stopped here for two nights whilst walking at Kielder Forest. I checked in a little early and the owner made me a coffee free of charge. Shown to hook up facilities, all close by. A very quiet campsite with a big restaurant attached. I would stay again.

A lovely peaceful campsite, wish we could have stayed longer. Stayed out of the main season, but they still provided meals in the bar, from an extensive menu. Delicious food. The owner was very friendly, the showers were clean and recently refurbished by the look of it. It was a proper indoor building, not an outhouse! There was a lovely snug cosy bar with a fire, but plenty of outside seating available for warm evenings. It might be a bit "remote" for some, but if you want to get away from everything, I definitely recommend. It was good value for money too.

Nice manager and staff, with very good and clean facilities. The bar and restaurant was a bonus. It was out of season, but I was struck with how peaceful the evening was. I had one gripe about the WIFI being only in the bar and not out to the pitch. The owner came round in the morning and explained that they had mentioned this in the details. I had only looked at the facilities summary. In conclusion, recommended.
