About Nantcol Waterfalls

Set by the Nantcol River where you can go swimming and paddling, this site is the perfect location to switch off and enjoy the great outdoors. The campsite provides a peaceful base in Snowdonia National Park, a 20 minute drive from Barmouth and its sandy beach, with Snowdon within an hour's drive too. You can pop your tourer on hardstanding and get stuck into your holiday with electric, or pitch your tent with views of the river. Each of the 85 grass pitches allows up to ten guests each, some with the added bonus of an optional 16 amp electric hook up. The site also has a range of glamping options on offer, ideal for those seeking some extra luxury. There are a pair of enticing bell tents which sleep four and offer a furnished interior, with heating and electric. Enjoying riverside views, each comes with a double bed, two single sofa beds, lighting and a cool box provided, with shared facilities nearby. Ideal for two, there are also cosy glamping pods which come equipped with a double bedroom and bedding, plus an open plan living area with a Smart TV, WiFi and speakers for chilling out. In the kitchen you will find a combi microwave, electric hob and fridge/freezer. Underfloor heating will keep you warm, and there is also an ensuite with a walk-in shower and loo. For enjoying your stunning setting, there is also a private patio with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. Surrounding string lights also keep the outdoors lit at night. There are also two pod cabins available onsite. Please note, the site does not allow any amplified music. Sorry, dogs cannot stay in the pods and bell tents.

Nantcol Waterfalls is open from 01/03 to 30/10 in 2024 and from 01/04 to 30/10 in 2025.

A note from the site themselves...

Here at Nantcol Waterfalls, this privately owned farmland boasts natural beauty amongst its woodland and river. It is too pretty to be kept a secret so we've created four different walks for you to explore nature. All of the routes start from the car park so as not to invade the camping ground.

The original Nature Trail opened in 1970 and has information plaques along the route that will explain the formation of this terrain through the centuries and will take around an hour to complete. We also have the Children's Island Walk, The Riverside Walk and The Woodland Walk so there is truly a route for everyone!

Such a beautiful and peaceful campsite. Has four different walks straight from the site, all of which are amazing. Can go for a bit of cold water swimming in the waterfalls. Toilets and showers were working and clean, available 24/7. The owners are so kind and helpful. Thankyou for a wholesome weekend!
