About Hidcote Manor Farm

Set in this 300 acre farm Hidcote Manor Farm is a family getaway in Gloucestershire's tempting Cotswold Hills. Just a short drive from Broadway often cited as one of the Cotswolds' prettiest villages and surrounded by stunning National Trust gardens, you're in the ideal location. After exploring the surrounding area, you can return to your fully furnished canvas lodge. Cosy up in the evenings with a home cooked meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen and sit around the wood burning stove. All lodges sleep six, and chose between a farmhouse shower or an ensuite. A host of breeding sheep graze across the farm's fields and you'll be welcome to bottle-feed their lambs in late March and early April when they are still finding their feet. When you're not meeting the residents, you'll find the farm is also a haven for wildlife, a great place to see skylarks, lapwings, and finches. Badgers have setts all about its beautiful space and you may be lucky in seeing them pop out and explore.

Hidcote Manor Farm is open from 12/04 to 29/09.

A note from the site themselves...

Meet John from the Righton family who have farmed at Hidcote Manor since 1942. The Manor gardens are well worth a visit during your stay (you'll get free entry) as well as meeting and feeding the 450 breeding sheep that graze on the meadows across the farm.

Our mission at Feather Down is to help you reconnect to nature and each other, away from everyday life.

Yes. You can fit a travel cot in the accommodation. You can also hire one from the site for a small fee. Due to limited space, only one cot per lodge is allowed.

The wood-fired stove inside of the accommodation will keep it warm and cosy. It is important to regularly add some wood. During the night, the site would recommend bringing warm pyjamas and perhaps some extra blankets and a hot water bottle.

Should you have to charge your phone during your stay, it will be possible to do so in the farm shop. Most of the time there will also be power sockets available at the communal shower block.
