Nestled between the North Pennines AONB and only a half hour from the Lake District, Mains Farm Campsite welcomes you to spacious electric pitches and a choice of snug, well equipped camping pods or hassle free tipis. Just a mile off the Coast to Coast cycle route.
About Mains Farm Campsite
The pitches on this working farm are in an outstanding location, with great riverside views. You'll be within easy walking distance of Kirkoswald, past winner of Cumbria's Best Kept Village award, too. The farm offers 30 spacious touring caravan pitches spread out over one acre. All these have access to 16-Amp electric hook-up and there are also a small number of non-electric camping pitches. If you're bringing a tent and need to plug in, you'll be glad to hear there are also a selection of tent pitches with electric hook-up. You can also get comfy in a pre-erected tipi, set on its own raised decking. These have uninterrupted views of the river Eden and are unfurnished, so you should bring along the beds, bedding and other supplies you need to make it just the way you like it. Ideal for a family of up to five. Glampers will love also Mains Farm's 12 hassle free unfurnished camping pods. Each has its own porch area, picnic bench, electricity, lighting and a heater for cool winter nights. It's all the fun of camping, without the tent.
The site is open from March until 31st October. Bell tents are available from May until the end of September.
