Located 20 minutes from York city centre, The White Horse is a traditional pub in the village of Upper Poppleton with non electric pitches suitable for self-contained campervans and motorhomes. Guests can enjoy the pub's delicious homemade food, great beer, wine selection and seasonal themed menu nights, with dogs welcome to join you too.

About the site
This simple, small touring park is tucked behind a country pub, perfect to enjoy a tasting meal or tipple onsite. It is also within a convenient 20 minute drive of York, with Leeds within an hour too! The site has three non electric hardstanding pitches suitable for self-contained campervans and motorhomes at the back of the carpark. There is an outdoor water tap available for guests and the gates are locked at night for your safety. There are no toilets and showers available for the pitches specifically, however the pub's toilets are available for use within opening hours. The onsite pub offers a range of homemade meals with local, seasonal ingredients used wherever possible. The cosy interior with a toasty fireplace lets you unwind whilst enjoying their assortment of beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks. The pub also has a spacious beer garden to take in the good weather where you can! Please note that the pub does operate different hours for winter and summer months, so be sure to check the opening hours and food service times before booking. The pub has a bus stop and Poppleton train station nearby and has great links into York City Centre but also Harrogate, Knaresborough and Leeds. BBQs, open fires and fire pits are not permitted onsite. Dogs are welcome to join you in your stay.

Things to do on site and in the York area
The site is ideally located for a trip to York just a 20 minute drive to the city centre. York offers a great deal all year round including seasonal markets, National Rail Museum York, historic areas including the York Minster and the famous cobbled Shambles.
If you are looking for walks closer to site, there are lots of trails of varying lengths and difficulty that will take you through local area and down the River Ouse. Some routes include the Poppleton Riverside Circular and Poppleton to Redhouse Wood.
Flip Out York is an ideal alternative for days indoors with foams pits, trampolining, soft play and obstacle courses, all just just five minutes away from site.
