About the site
Ideally located in a 320 acre private countryside estate with a brewery, amongst the Sussex Downs. A lovely choice for anyone looking to switch off and reconnect with nature and each other.
Home to ten camping pods, each insulated with underfloor heating for year round stays and featuring a wood fired hot tub with the logs provided. Enjoy home comforts such as an ensuite, dining area, WiFi and a flat screen TV.
Each has a well equipped kitchenette with a fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, oven, hob, mugs, glasses, crockery, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and a great range of cooking utensils.
Six of the pods are ideal for four people with a double bed and a sofa bed. For larger family bookings of up to six the large pods have a double bed, sofa bed and two bunk beds ideal for children.
The estate often hosts weddings amongst the grounds so for a true romantic getaway there is a unique bridal suite pod (primate pod). Perfect for up to two adults with just one double bed.
If the local countryside calls to you, why not join the sites resident ranger Ross on a wilding and foraging walk, or Tim The Linden Countryman for some Bushcraft skills.
Each pod has a fire pit which can double as a BBQ. Please note, disposable BBQs are prohibited and BBQs are not allowed on the deck area.
Just a 5 minute walk from the site is the Missing Link Brewery, where you try the range of beers, IPAs and ciders from the apples grown from the Orchard. The Tap Room hosts local food trucks where you can indulge in a range of fantastic foods, there are also brunches and roasts available to book on the weekends.
All pods have their own private wood fired hot tub. This will be filled with water and a sack with kindling, logs, fire lighters and matches will be ready for you.
All larger pods welcome dogs as do three of the smaller pods.

A note from the site themselves...
Our glamping site and brewery is based on 360 acres of farm and woodland. We are acutely aware of the effects of climate change and the effects our production of craft beers can potentially have. Because of this, we do all we can to be as eco friendly as possible.
We have many re wilding projects going on but the one that we are most involved in is the tree planting project. Ross, the full-time ecologist here is curating the project to ensure that the correct trees are planted in the environment that best ensures they will not only survive but thrive and support the surrounding ecosystem.
We always have solar panels on the roof of the brewery to provide a substantial amount of our power. Chiddinglye is also home to 30 acres of solar farm that feeds the national grid. All our hot water and heating is provided by a wood chip boiler fed by wood produced on the farm from timber bought in by local tree surgeons and from coppicing the woodland here.
We hope we get to welcome you soon and you also get to sample some of our delicious beers too, Edmund

Glamping Pod - Capuchin Ensuite Glamping Pods with Hot TubMar 2025
My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful stay, the pods are fully equipped and very comfortable, they are also very quiet and peaceful, we can recommend sitting on the front deck with and looking at the stars.
The hot tubs are a nice touch but they need time to warm up and remember you are in England,we stoked the fire a good hour and a half before we went in and it was still around 20 degrees. (We still enjoyed it though) If you think you need more wood ask early, it's a small business and getting new wood takes a while as I imagine everyone is busy.
Better if you aren't worried about your hot tub getting cold, the wood gets delivered directly to your pod so better if you can just enjoy a cheeky extra pint and not worry about it.
The food and drink on site are excellent and everyone we spoke to onsite was very friendly and welcoming, we would love to return in the future and we're very sad to leave.
We can highly recommend the brewery tour, it was really interesting to see the effort and attention to detail that goes into making a quality beer.
For walking and adventuring we can recommend heading south of the campsite along the high weald landscape trail, and to Wakehurst place, the walk (40 mins to an hour) is lovely and easy to navigate, heading North is less pleasant to be honest. Local residents do not seem to approve of walkers, we were glared at as we walked along the path as if we were there to steal things. There isn't much worth looking at that way anyway and navigating is a pain as routes have been obfuscated and signposts removed.
Overall highly recommended for a fantastic long weekend.
Kids and may get a bit bored but as a couple in our mid 30s we loved it.
Great off the beaten track location!

Glamping Pod - Bonobo Ensuite Glamping Pods with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)Nov 2024
Spent the weekend in a glamping pod to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. Unfortunately, due to Storm Bert, we couldn't make use of the hot tub or fire pit, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, relaxing in the cozy pod.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We were missing a couple of bedding items, but a quick text and it was resolved efficiently. The on-site food truck came in handy, though, had it not been a special birthday treat, I probably wouldn't have paid the inflated prices.
My only real negative is the lack of a convenience store on-site. Even a small shop selling basics would have been really helpful, especially since we ended up sheltering in the pod the entire weekend.
Great glamping and great beer

Camping Pod - Bonobo Ensuite Glamping Pods with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)Nov 2024
A great spot to unwind and enjoy great food and drink. The pod was kitted out with everything we needed, plus the underfloor heating was super powerful and the ensuite was lovely (the shower was nice and warm too).
We enjoyed great food and drink at the tap room (which was brilliant for dogs) and I highly recommend a slice of cake and a burger from the visiting food truck. A wonderful stay all round!
