About Harford Bridge Park

Set beside the River Tavy, there are copses of mature trees within the camping fields and lovely views of Dartmoor and the adjacent farmland. It's a tranquil and traditional campsite where you'll enjoy a peaceful night's sleep and the dawn chorus as your alarm clock. The site offers a variety of spacious pitches, suitable for both tents and tourers. Each pitch allows up to six guests, some also with a 16 amp electric hook up or fully serviced with electric, grey waste, water and a TV aerial connection. Pitch up by the riverside or under the shelter of the trees, great on those sunny days. For those searching for some extra luxury, opt for one of the glamping units. The Jubilee shepherd's hut sleeps up to two, kitted out with a double bed, table and chairs, plus a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy. For cooking, there is a fridge, kettle, toaster and a wicker hamper containing cutlery, tableware and drinking glasses. Outside, you will also find a 'field kitchen' which is perfect for al fresco evenings, comprised of an induction hob, water tap, pots, pans and a fire pit with a BBQ grill. Shared facilities can also be found nearby. Two ensuite pods, Drake and Bedford, also sleep up to two. Inside you will find a fold-away double sofa bed, plus a kitchen, lounge with TV and a shower room. The two Escape Pods +2 also feature a bunk bed for two kids. Evenings can be spent cooking up a BBQ or toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, as long as it is raised from the ground. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three allowed per pitch.

Harford Bridge Park is open from 15/03 to 03/11 in 2024 and from 15/03 to 13/11 in 2025.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

We had a wonderful first stay at Harford bridge and will definitely be back! Really friendly team and spotless campsite. Great facilities for the kids and adults! The play park is brilliant and the spot on the river Tavy makes spending a day on the site wonderful and peaceful. And the park has a lovely family friendly feel. Great location to the many local sights in Devon and Cornwall. Really close to the town of Tavistock for takeaways, supermarkets and petrol too 👍 Recommend the pasty house for burgers and Robertsons for pizza! The onsite shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. We had a lovely time the last week and can't wait to come back! My sons enjoyed the river, games room, park and tennis courts. Thank you!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Had a lovely stay at Harford Bridge site. We chose a no electric grass pitch which meant we were right next to the river in a level, out of the way field. It was quite a long walk to the facilities from there, so if you need easier access then mention it when booking. Staff were friendly and efficient and thd site had lots of extras like bakery items to be placed on order the previous evening for next day, games and TV room, hot showers, numberplate recognition entry, shop, and dog friendly with walks. It was a very well-laid out site with lots of booking options. Excellent position to explore Dartmoor and we'd thoroughly recommend. It was so good to be able to just book one night in high season and much appreciated that the owners haven't put minimum night stays as a condition of booking like some others do.

Site's response

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are all delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. As you mention, we always try to accommodate our camping guests near to the facilities if requested, but the riverside pitches are our most popular. We are a popular one night stop over for guests travelling through the area, but we also make a great base to discover both Devon and Cornwall and just an hours drive to the coast. We very much hope to welcome you back to Harford Bridge Park in the future.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Lovely site just on the outskirts of Tavistock. Right next to the river Tavy and a short (2 mile walk) into town. Facilities are very good and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed at other Tavistock sites before and this is one we would definitely use again.

Site's response

Thank you for your positive review, we are all delighted that you enjoyed your recent stay with us and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to Harford Bridge Park. Our touring pitches are open until 15th November and our Prestige Caravans and Escape Pods are available all year round.
