A note from the site themselves...

Here at Under the Milk Way we are extremely eco-conscious and try to keep our impact on our land and environment to a minimum. We encourage everyone to recycle as much as possible and all of the logs we burn in our fires are from sustainable sources. We also manage and grow trees in our own woodland.

We really value our rural location and our dark skies, with very little light pollution are a big part of that. You can see the stars and night sky in wonderful detail hence the name.

Camping is all about fun with loved ones and we have plenty of space around the tents for the impromptu games of cricket, football and just running about, that often take place involving children and parents alike. We can't wait to welcome you!

Bell Tent - Bell TentsAug 2024

This place was a really great find, and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the North Devon coast. The owner, Bridget, is so friendly and helpful; she's really thought of everything and the bell tents and cooking huts are equipped with everything you could possibly need. It's a beautiful place and our children (aged 12 and 9) loved it. We'll definitely be going back.

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's HutJul 2024

We had a wonderful stay here and were impressed by the beautiful setting on the site, along with the tranquillity. The host was fantastic in ensuring we had everything we needed and comfortable with our stay. The only thing we could've benefited from was access to a fridge. Otherwise our stay was amazing and allowed us to visit all the beautiful spots in the North Devon area. Thank you Bridget.

Lovely holiday
