About Wild Wellingtons Glamping

This off-grid glamping site offers great views and stunning countryside for guests to relax and reconnect with friends, loved ones and family. Most importantly, the vast and beautiful West Wales coast is on your doorstep with three beaches within a 15 minute drive. The glamping accommodation consists of two spacious geodomes, the larger Cromen DdĂ´l (Meadow Dome) and Cromen Glan MĂ´r (Seaside Dome). Each dome sleeps four people with a four poster, king-size bed and two singles. There is also Cwt ar y Bryn (Hut on the Hill) a Welsh-Scandi-style shepherd's hut which sleeps up to four. There is a king-size bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom, though this can be converted into a double. The hut enjoys picturesque views from its place on the hill and its south-facing oak windows and French doors frame the views beautifully. In addition, two fold-up beds can be provided for Cromen DdĂ´l and one for Cromen Glan MĂ´r and Cwt ar y Bryn. Cromen DdĂ´l (Meadow) and Cwt ar y Bryn have their own 'Ty Bach' ('small house' which means toilet in Welsh), a hand-built, eco-friendly tree bog, though there is a flushing loo in one of the wet rooms. All accommodation comes with a wood burner and a Kadai fire-pit and cookware, great for al fresco dining. All bed linen, apart from cots, is supplied, along with a Welsh welcome starter pack of local goodies with tea and coffee. The domes also have an outside decked area with a picnic table, perfect for nights under the stars. Solar boxes provide lighting and charging points for small devices, subject to enough sunlight being available. The site is eco-conscious and working towards being as sustainable as possible. It is totally off grid and offers the chance to switch off, reconnect and get back to your simpler self for a much needed relaxing and restful holiday. This is a pet free site. A damage deposit of ÂŁ200 before your stay will be included.

Wild Wellingtons Glamping is open all year round in 2024 and from 01/01 to 10/07 in 2025.

A note from the site themselves...

We are Tom and Sinead with our two boys, and we met when travelling around Australia in 2000. We have a strong passion for adventures and travelling, but the children made us rethink how we could make new adventures in a way that better suited the family.

After thinking about what we really wanted, we thought why not start a glamping business! We both left our day jobs and bought our home with three stunning acres of land. We love being able to make it easier to holiday outdoors with just a touch of luxury. You can truly immerse yourself in the stunning Welsh outdoors, somewhere we really love living.

Glamping Dome - Cromen Glan MĂ´r (Seaside Dome) Aug 2024

We loved our stay at Wild Wellingtons and the kids would move there if we'd let them, the freedom for them to roam and play was priceless. The site has everything you need and the domes are cosy with plenty of room for a family of four. Hosts, Tom and Sinead, are friendly, welcoming and really helpful with local recommendations. We loved it and would definitely stay again. If you're deliberating then don't, book, you won't regret it!

Site's response

It's wonderful to read that you loved your stay with us. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and host you all and we will miss the 2 little ones pottering around and our daily chats with them. It was great to see how much the little ones enjoyed themselves and how lovely they were with Lottie Labrador. We look forward to seeing you all again in the future.

Wonderful, family friendly site!

Glamping Dome - Cromen Glan MĂ´r (Seaside Dome) Aug 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it. The site is small but has everything you need and is absolutely stunning. The domes are spotlessly clean, warm and very homely. The beds were comfortable with proper bedding (duvets and pillows) as well as so many blankets. The log burner inside the dome was an excellent touch and made for lovely cosy nights! Our teenage daughter struggled a little with no electricity to charge her phone, but it made a nice change for her to not be on the phone all the time! We took a charging bank for times of need and the site supplied us with a solar box, which worked on sunnier days. The communal kitchen is pretty and very well kitted out and we spent quite a bit of time together in there. The outdoor bath was exceptional and a highlight of the stay, along with the communal BBQ hut, which we enjoyed using on a rainy day. There are two lovely shower rooms which were also kept very clean. Only one of the shower rooms has a toilet, which was a little inconvenient, so next time we stay, we will book the larger dome that has an outside toilet hut (we checked these out and they are very nice!) The hosts were fantastic and went above and beyond - even delivering us a basket of wood in the torrential rain! There are lots of things to keep children happy (park area with climbing frame, trampoline, football pitch, board games and colouring) but the site would also be lovely for couples trip! The location was good with lots of lovely beaches a short drive away. Our favourite was Tresaith beach, which has a waterfall off to one side. I would definitely recommend this site and we look forward to visiting again.

Site's response

Wow - what an amazingly thorough review - thank you for taking the time to write it, it is appreciated. We're glad to read you took full advantage of all the facilities and enjoyed them so much. We would love to host you all again and will hopefully see you in the future (and you may make that couples trip you mentioned ;-)
