About Yorkshire Wolds Glamping

The site is based in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds village of Weaverthorpe, just a 15 minute drive from the Yorkshire coast. Located close to the Wolds Way route and the rolling hills, the site is a popular stay for cyclists and walkers alike. It's a quiet and peaceful site, suited perfectly to those looking to explore the nearby countryside or visit the wide range of tourist attractions nearby. The setting, with an acre and a half of land, feels really spacious, but glampers have a sense of privacy from their neighbours. The modern amenities building provides glampers with a kitchen equipped with a fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, and sink as well as plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, cooking bowls and cooking utensils. There are three charming glamping pods on offer, each sleeping up to two and one sleeping up to two adults and two children. The pods are made from converted shipping containers with electric lighting and sockets, storage shelves, travel kettle, outside seating, and a short walk to the amenities building. There are also four beautifully converted railway wagons, which sleep up to two adults and two children. The Railway Wagons each have electric lighting and sockets, an en-suite toilet with basin, mini fridge, storage shelves, table, chairs and cosy seating. Two of the wagons have log burners for added cosiness. All accommodation is dog friendly, with rural walks suitable for all abilities right on the doorstep and several nearby beaches where your dogs can run happily.

Converted railway wagons are open all year round and the glamping pods are open from 1st March to 31st October.

A note from the site themselves...

We are a small family run business in the heart of the rural agricultural village of Weaverthorpe. With its rich farming heritage and two dog friendly pubs we are passionate about the village and our surrounding environment with the glampers and wildlife sharing our site together.

In its previous life the glamping site has been a Strawberry farm and livery stables we still have notes from its former life with a rich variety of fruit trees and strawberry plants we have enhanced the site with flowerbeds and natural planting producing a great habitat for an array of pollinators and wildlife.

We love welcoming glampers to our site, new and old, and will always offer suggestions of places to visit or local eateries to try if needed.
