From the moment we closed the gate to Oak Tree Lane behind us, we were amazed by the beautiful views of the countryside around us. As we reached the farm, Phil & Sera warmly greeted us, along with the pigmy goats, chickens and sheep. The hosts were more than keen to get to know us and proudly showed us around their wonderful site. Phil loaded our belongings and took them up to our cabin, as we opened the door our children gasped "WOW" and hurried on in. Phil explained everything to us about the cabin, log burner, kitchen & bathroom facilities as well as the fire pit, he is very passionate about the eco friendliness of the site and his surroundings. We had the most wonderful stay in the cabin, laughing, playing games and best of all, toasting giant marshmallows on the fire pit, topped only by Phil's tasty homemade wood fired pizzas. Both Phil & Sera asked daily how we all were and were more than helpful on which places to visit in the area where we as a family with children of 10,11 & 14 would all enjoy. We cannot fault the site, surroundings and hosts in anyway at all. The only negative would be is that we couldn't stay longer, as hard as our son tried with Phil. On our departure, Phil came to collect our belongings and both he and Sera wished us well as we promised to visit again. This is a promise we WILL keep.

We as a family of 5 had a wonderful 2 days staying in the Mongolian yurt. The views were amazing and the hosts were too. Can't wait to come back again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Oak tree lane, the location is fantastic for days out and the farm itself was perfect for our small kids. The facilities were clean and well kept, we had everything we needed close by. The hut we stayed in was decorated beautifully and the space was ideal for a family of 5. Would definitely recommend, we are planning a return trip for next year.

Beautiful, small comfortable cabin overlooking splendid countryside, complete with a small flock of sheep just in an enclosure in front of the cabin. You might want to bring a hairdryer, and if, like me, you didn't remember to bring your own towels, Phil and Sara provided them at a small cost. Perhaps it is worth bringing a few games for when the Devon weather isn't too good? Which did seem to be the case when we visited in July. Phil and Sera were so accommodating. We had bacon and eggs from their own farm 🚜, and when we asked for a recommendation for a meal out locally, Sera kindly recommended the local pub for dinner, and while we were talking, she called and made a reservation for us. The site is clearly identified on the right from the narrow road that heads to the Clovelly Arms in Bratton Clovelly.
Very nice, quiet and peaceful place

What a fantastic place to stay! It feels like your in the middle of nowhere but a great location for whatever you want to do, be it driving across Dartmoor and hiking to beaches on the coast, to just admiring the views from the superb place that is Oak Tree lane! The hosts Sera and Phil were waiting for us and the welcome we received was like meeting up dear friends, so warm and friendly! We were always greeted when wandering around and they were happy to stop and chat be it talking about the sheep and cows, to great advice on getting out and about! We stayed for a week in their beautifully decorated traditional Mongolian yurt that had plenty of space for 6 of us and was equipped with a wood burning stove and everything you need to light it with. The beds were so comfy and all freshly laundered and made up, the futons were also ready when needed to unfold. Eco friendly with solar lighting in the yurt too! The yurt has amazing views of the countryside too with a picnic bench and plenty of room on decking is you want to bring a sun lounger or 2! We had our own kitchen that was suitable for all we needed including a tea towel, oven gloves, washing up liquid, sponge and dish cloth. Our kids loved filling up the water carrier from the outside tap. Everything was spotlessly clean and had great views of the sheep grazing in the upper part of the field! We had plenty of seating in the kitchen and outside around the other side of the building again with great views and to chat to other glampers! The campfire is great for that too and toasting marshmallows! At night the sky was so dark we have never seen so many stars and had a great time spotting shooting stars! Its a short walk down a little stoney slope with a few steps at the bottom to the farm yard where the bathrooms are located, which were again spotless and cleaned daily and have sensor lighting and a fabulous shower. They even have a bath mat to step onto when getting out, and always stocked with toilet rolls! The best thing of course whilst down that area apart from the view is you will usually see the sheep feeding, some come up and say hello! You can buy a bag of sheep mix to feed to them and if your lucky enough like we were, Sara was about to feed the bottle babies which she offered for us to do! They also have two cows Bess and Gwen who also come up for a feed and you may find them being groomed which they seem to love! Gwen came up to say hello when we were there and gave us some cow licks! They also have the roosters and hens down that area too who like to say hello and a new addition... a super little kitty far too young to be out and about yet, but such a sweetie. This is also where you have your parking area which is plenty big enough. The reception is also located here and you can usually buy freshly laid eggs as they have there own hens and the best sausages we have ever had I must say! Also lovely thick tasty bacon... yum! I have to say this place is a little gem and is run by two of the best diamonds you will ever come across! I can't think of anywhere else we will ever want to be for complete R&R! We can't wait to come back!
