The site is set in a 300-acre National Trust property nestled in the heart of the Cotswold AONB. Owned and operated by the Righton family since 1942, this working farm is home to 450 breeding sheep and offers an idyllic escape surrounded by stunning countryside. Guests stay in spacious, fully furnished canvas lodges with ensuite or outdoor shower options, ensuring a comfortable yet rustic experience. Each lodge sleeps up to six people and includes a kitchen, wood-burning stove, and cosy beds. The farm is adjacent to the renowned Hidcote Manor Gardens, where guests enjoy free entry to explore its vibrant floral displays. Wildlife enthusiasts will love spotting skylarks, lapwings, finches, and even badgers in the evenings. Hidcote's location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, with picturesque villages, lavender farms, and hiking trails nearby. Perfect for families, the farm also offers spring lamb feeding and a relaxed pace of life to help you unwind. Things to do on site and in the Chipping Campden area
A four mile walk along the footpath will have you in pretty Chipping Campden, home of the Arts and Crafts movement. The village hosts Robert Dover's Olimpick Games and a lovely open garden weekend in June. It's the perfect setting for high tea and has several great cafes.
With so much great scenery, hiking routes are very tempting in this area, so bring your boots! Pop along to the Cotswold Lavender farm (10 minutes) for a stunning day out. Listen to bees buzzing, stroll amongst the 35 different lavender varieties or mooch around the shops.
Just a twenty minute drive will take you to the Cotswold Falconry Centre and Batsford Arboretum, perfect stops for animal lovers. Bourton-on-the-Water epitomises the beauty of the area and also offers a fantastic motoring museum and historic model village.
Stray beyond the Cotswolds and you'll reach Warwickshire's Stratford-upon-Avon, where you must see a show at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and explore the Bard's former home.
