Hollow Gill Huts offers three bespoke shepherd's huts on a working farm nestled between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Each ensuite hut is luxuriously furnished and provides you with everything you could need for a relaxing break. One of the huts sleeps up to two whilst the other two can sleep up to four. Enjoy al fresco dining and nights around the fire pit with sunset views over the Yorkshire peaks. Dog friendly.

About Hollow Gill Huts
Set just outside of Settle between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, these three bespoke shepherd's huts ensure a peaceful and relaxing break. Located on a working farm, tucked away in private gardens next to the farm's woodlands and sheep! Dalesbred hut is ideal for a solo traveller or a romantic getaway with a cosy double bed facing a window to guarantee a fabulous morning view whilst you enjoy a brew in bed. Or, the Wensleydale shepherd's hut and the Swaledale shepherd's hut are great options if you're travelling with your family, or as a couple with an added single bed and a foldaway bunk bed or sofa. Each hut is beautifully decorated and has a sofa, an ensuite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette and a Smart TV. To keep you cosy, the huts also have underfloor heating and a log burner. Expect gorgeous sunset views over two of the three Yorkshire Peaks from your hut, and enjoy evenings outside gazing up at the starry night sky. The huts include feather down pillows, bed linen, fluffy towels, toiletries, cutlery and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Outside each hut is a private patio area with a table and chairs for dining al fresco, listening to birdsong and spotting the neighbouring sheep and young lambs- you can even meet them! As the sun goes down you can sit around your fire pit, great for toasting marshmallows. These shepherd's huts are a great base for exploring the Yorkshire Three Peaks with the car park just 20 minutes from the site. Or, if you're looking for a slightly more relaxing stroll, there are endless trails around the Dales to explore. You can get to Malham by bike or car and head to Malham Cove in 30 minutes. No need to leave your four-legged friend behind! The huts welcome dogs for an extra charge, please just note only short haired or non moulting dogs up to a medium size are permitted. For fires, you'll have a fire pit outside your hut and logs are available to purchase onsite.
Hollow Gill Huts is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.

Things to do on site and in the Settle area
Keen walkers will be spoilt for choice with this site being so close to the Yorkshire three peaks challenge, the car park is only a 20 minute drive away. If you are walking all three peaks the walk is 24 miles which can take up to 12 hours, alternatively you can opt to walk just one out of the three!
Settle (10 minutes) is an ancient market town with miles of footpaths and bridleways if you are looking for a more relaxing stroll. Or, if you are looking to mooch around the town there is a range of independent shops, cafes and traditional pubs to try.
Malham Cove (10 minutes) is a must while you're in the area, a huge curved amphitheatre shaped cliff formation which you can walk around taking just over 2 hours to complete. At the top is where a scene in Harry Potter was filmed so a definite for any fans!
