About Bryn Gloch

The spectacular setting for Bryn Gloch makes it a perfect destination for a tranquil outdoor break. At the foot of Snowdon, the site is ideal for keen hikers, with plenty of surrounding routes for those wanting a more gentle stroll. Tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes are welcome across the site's 10m x 6m grass and hardstanding pitches. All of the 200 pitches welcome up to six guests each, with the option of a 10 amp electric hook up or a fully serviced pitch with drainage and a water and 10 amp electric hook up. Why not try out one of the site's shepherd's huts. One of the shepherd huts (Gelert) come equipped with a double bed and a small sofa bed, along with a TV for cosy nights in. This unit is pet friendly. The other shepherd's hut (Llywelyn) has two single beds and a small sofa bed, also with a TV. Please note, that these are like camping without the tent. You will have to bring everything with you, from bedding to cooking equipment. You can also enjoy evenings under the stars, snuggling up around the fire pit, just please ensure it is raised from the ground. Raised BBQs are also permitted. If no holiday is complete without your furry friend, not to worry, up to two dogs are welcome per pitch. Please note, breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted.

Bryn Gloch is open from 01/03 to 31/12 in 2024 and 2025.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesOct 2024

A well equipped site, electric, potable water next to tent pitches and nearby basin and toilet facilities. Beautiful location and very friendly, welcoming staff - star gazing easy in this location with little light pollution. Somewhat let down with nearby toilet facilities being locked up, I assume for low season and not being able to access fire pits outside of shop hours was very frustrating.

Lovely location, immaculate grass areas

Loved this place, it had its own dog walk, a lovely river and surrounded by mountains. One of the cleanest sites I have been on.

Visitors to the Snowdonia National Park are not short of things to do. Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is just 2.5 miles away from the site and numerous paths start from the park.

Despite being in the mountains, there are plenty of local beaches to visit, including Dinas Dinlle (20 minutes) or Black Rock Sands and its miles of golden sands (40 minutes).

Y Weirglodd Fawr is ten acres of land that have been left by the park to grow naturally and have now been designated as a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). It's the perfect spot for a walk or to stop and relax by the river. Get lucky and you may spot an otter or kingfisher!

Fishing is also popular, either for trout, sea trout or salmon in the half mile of crystal clear river at the park's perimeter.

Other attractions include:

  • National Slate Museum (20 minutes)
  • Airworld Aviation Museum (20 minutes)
  • Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (30 minutes)
  • Anglesey Sea Zoo (30 minutes)
  • Bodnant Garden (45 minutes)
