Nine Acres is a small, peaceful and family-run camping, touring and glamping site just outside the historic town of Laugharne.
About Nine Acres Caravan and Camping Park
Located two miles outside the town of Laugharne (described by Dylan Thomas as the "strangest town in Wales", Nine Acres is a small, peaceful and family-run camping, touring and glamping site. Originally opened as a 5-van site in the 1980s, the owners have continued to develop and improve the site while retaining its safe and tranquil feel. The site has 50 spacious short grass pitches for campers and tourers (35 of which have electric hook-up), all located around the perimeter of the camping field. In addition, there are 20 furnished bell tents which sleep four people on comfortable futon beds (linen provided). The tents are decorated with bunting and lanterns and all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans is provided, along with a microwave and fridge. The glamping field also has a marquee with shared lounge and dining area. Well behaved pets are welcome.
The site is open from March until October. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it is accepting tents sized up to five berth (not larger) and tourers.

Things to do on site and in the Carmarthen area
Celebrated poet and writer, Dylan Thomas, lived in nearby Laugharne for the last four years of his life, describing it as the "strangest town in Wales." A visit to his former home, the Boathouse, is recommended, along with Laugharne Castle.
Families will enjoy Pendine Sands, a 7-mile length of beach on the shores of Carmarthen Bay, while the Pendine Museum of Speed documents the history of Pendine Sands being used for land speed record attempts.
The walk between Pendine and Amroth is part of the All Wales Coast Path and follows along the rugged coastline. Walkers will also enjoy the breathtaking Llansteffan Castle Figure of 8 Walk.
Other local attractions include Gwilli Railway, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Oakwood Theme Park.
Tenby and Saundersfoot are both just a short drive away.
