Field Farm is in a beautiful part of the country, with lots of wildlife. It's a small and friendly site is surrounded by farmland with some lovely walks, yet also close to the fantastic beaches at Southwold, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. There are six fishing ponds and a tackle shop on site (open all year) which offer a good mixed coarse fish. Try a camping pod for a fuss free stay!

We camped for two nights in September and had a wonderful stay. The site was quiet so no queueing for showers etc. Beautiful surroundings and dog friendly. Recommended.

It rained, a lot! Didn't matter though. Site is great, lots of space. Facilities are perfectly adequate and all work. Fishing is great. Loads of destination within a short drive to visit. Most importantly, the owner is excellent, happy and helpful. Couldn't ask for more

Thank you, glad you enjoyed your stay here and hopefully see you again in the very near future.

From a warm welcome when we arrived, to the quality of fishing, all I can say is fabulous! Lovely big pitches in great surroundings, nice and peaceful with a little noise from the A12 depending on the wind direction but really not that noticeable when the door is shut! Great fishing. Toilets basic but very clean! Cannot wait to go again and will be booking in the near future! Thanks Nicky!

Lovely campsite, and lovely owner who was keen to update us with local knowledge about best beaches etc. Well located to get to local towns and beaches. Great for keen fishers with their own ponds. Management clearly strive to keep shower block and toilets clean, but these facilities are looking a bit tired and could do with a refresh. However, facilities are perfectly acceptable, clean and decent for a short camping trip. Also good for dog owners, with a field where they can take their pets for exercise, however, we are not dog owners.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed the site. We have thought about putting different shower blocks and toilet box in, but if we do that, the Camping price would go up dramatically but as you said, perfectly clean and do the job so we will be leaving them for now. Hopefully, see you again soon.

This campsite is geared towards fishing, the lakes and views are beautiful. Alan was super helpful whenever we had any questions and was quick to fix the broken shower within an hour. The bait shop on site has everything you might need, you just ring them, and they come and open up. The bathroom facilities were always clean and the showers just take £1 for 5 mins of hot water. The campsite itself is huge, they keep everyone spaced out to give you space. The kids had a great time running round. We would come back for fishing, huge carp in the ponds and very reasonably priced fishing.

Everything about this campsite is fantastic. From the walks around, to the shower blocks, to the site owners and it's location. We wanted to visit Great Yarmouth and the Sutton Hoo site, and this sits halfway between each and is 30 minutes from Southwold beach, where I played as a child. Minor downside is lack of hand drying facilities and no hook on the back of the portaloo doors. Literally, the smallest of things. Loved our trip, Nicky the owner is awesome and always helpful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and I felt safe letting my teenagers go off walking together. Worth waking up early and soaking in the peace and quiet with a coffee.

We really enjoyed our stay at Field Farm Fisheries. It was a very peaceful and spread out site with well maintained land. There were 2 toilet locations on site and a lot of freshwater taps, which was convenient. It was pretty close to Southwold town, so a lot to do there, however closest pub was about a 45 minute walk on country roads, so not ideal. The owner was very lovely and knowledgeable when greeting us.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay. The closest pub is in the village if you walk the main road it is one mile away and there's a path on the A12 down to it. Hopefully see you again soon. All the best.

Nicky was very hospitable, informative and was more than happy to give us some fishing advice. We left early due to weather and one of my boy's not feeling well, but we're already planning on coming again soon. We caught 11 fish in total and my youngest caught his first carp. The lakes are well stocked and the fish seem well cared for and healthy. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your review. Glad you all enjoyed yourself and caught some nice fish. Look forward to seeing you again soon!

Great site, very friendly upon arrival. Perk for us was an excellent, secure dog walking field and the Chinese takeaway delivery to the site. The only thing might be the lack of lighting to the bottom of the site, just to help in the middle of the night if you needed to see on way to toilet block. Will absolutely return to visit again!
Site's response
Thank you for your review . We haven't put lighting on the bottom field as we would like it to be the genuine camping experience, and we like people to pick their own pitches. All the lights are near the toilet and shower blocks, but thank you for your comments. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

Fantastic campsite with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The lady running the camp was very helpful and we felt welcome at the camp on arrival. We had a huge amount of space between tents which was great for our dog. We drove to Southwold in ten minutes on the Saturday and 5 minutes to Covehithe beach on Sunday. Both were great :)

Field Farm Fisheries was a great, relaxed campsite. Great that there was drinking water and toilets at multiple locations. Always stocked with toilet paper too. There was always someone onsite to help or give advice if needed, like local amenities. We did use the fishing lakes and the fish were certainly biting! My 6 year old nephew had great fun with his dad. The locals using the lakes were on hand to help the novices, which I thought was wonderful. Showers clean and hot, though you do have to pay £1 for 5 minutes of hot water. My coin slot on the shower I went in could only be used when the door was open, but luckily no one came in! There weren't any lights on in the showers, which we felt was a bit poor (either that we couldn't locate a switch). Overall we would stay again. Great place.

Thank you for your review, the shower lights are on a timer.

I stayed on this site and used an EHU pitch. Perfectly sited my caravan within a short distance of the fishing lakes and with plenty of space all around. Grass kept mowed regularly. I can't comment about the toilets and shower because I used my own. Grey waste could be let out at the hedge line, so no hefting your waste water container around. The toilet disposal was a bit old-school, but functional. The location was perfect and a short drive if you want to be near the coast and Southwold. There's a big Morrisons store within 10 mins, and also some local shops. At the back of the site is a large enclosed field suitable for walking dogs. Bearing in mind this site is open to the public, i.e anglers, it was extremely peaceful. And it was lovely wandering around the lakes of an evening, watching the wildlife and jumping fish. I'd definitely come back!

Lovely stay at Field Farm Fisheries. Really clean site, with spacious pitches on huge well kept field. Perfect for exploring Suffolk's fascinating coast, heaths & marshes. Basic shower / toilet block but fine for our needs. Need £1 for hot shower. Only suggestion would be to have some recycling facilities please.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. All the rubbish goes in the Biffa bins, which is recycled at their depots.
