Burrowhayes is set within the Exmoor National Park and is an ideal base for exploring on foot or by car. Pitch up at touring and camping pitches, or try the farm's caravan holiday homes for hire. Children love playing in the river and the surrounding woods or trips from the riding stables on site to explore the Horner Valley and the the surrounding open moorland. Paddling and boating is great fun too, in Horner Water.
About Burrowhayes Farm Caravan and Camping Site
Situated in the glorious Horner Valley, with a yiew of Dunkery Beacon, Burrowhayes provides a central postion for touring Exmoor with its wooded valleys, streams, hills and coastal scenery. This is a popular family site offering a warm welcome and superb facilities. There are two touring areas, with 16-Amp electrical hook-ups and TV aerial connections available on some pitches. The camping field stretches from behind the stables to the boundary with Horner Woods. In addition to camping and touring pitches, there are also 19 modern static caravans for hire ranging, sleeping 4-6. These are all fully equipped and serviced with gas, mains water and drainage. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times and exercised off site.

Site rules and policies
Dogs allowed but must be kept on a lead while on the site, exercised off site and not left unattended at any time.
Charcoal BBQs are allowed but must be kept off the grass. Bricks are available if required. No open fires.
Things to do on site and in the Minehead area
On site are riding stables which offer escorted rides in the Horner Valley, and on the open moorland of Dunkery, Ley Hill and Selworthy. There are also small ponies for parents to walk and lead.
Horner Water runs along the site and is popular with children for paddling and skimming stones.
Porlock, the local village, is a mile way - a pleasant 20 minute walk. It has three pubs, a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. There's a recreation ground providing tennis courts,a bowling green and a children's play area.
Porlock Weir is a delightful little harbour where children love to go crabbing. Sea fishing trips can also be arranged here.
