About Aberfeldy Caravan Park

Aberfeldy is home to world-famous poet Robert Burns, and was the first Fairtrade town in Scotland. It has something for everyone. The caravan park has impeccably manicured grounds and gardens, and superb views of the River Tay and the Strathtay landscape - thick with hillsides and trees. The site is scattered with picnic benches so you never have to turn your back on the scenery. Take a step through the gate on to the footpath that runs between the site and the River Tay and you're slap bang in the heart of the Scottish countryside. The site's spacious and level tent and caravan pitches are all accessible by a clearly marked path, with metered electric hook-up (charged to prepaid cards as used). Bring your dog along for a plentiful helping of Scottish air too.

Open from 18 March to 29 October

Aberfeldy and the surrounding area is a land of superlatives, with Perthshire's highest mountain, Scotland's longest river, and Europe's oldest living thing - The Fortingall Yew. There is something for all ages and interests here whether you seek adventure, cultural stimulation, wildlife, or well-being.

First made famous by Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet, today Aberfeldy is Scotland's first Fairtrade town. Retailers and attractions throughout the area do their best to promote Fairtrade, organic and environmentally friendly products.

Just six miles west of the town, Loch Tay is Perthshire's largest loch. It's framed by majestic mountains and hillside farms and cottages, and as well as being the popular playground of sailors and water sports enthusiasts, is also home to 18 ancient dwellings called crannogs.

Nearby to the north, Glen Lyon is often described as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. It has a wonderfully mystical atmosphere.
