Black Rock Caravan and Camping Park is a family friendly spot along the East Coast of the Highlands, just 30 minutes from Inverness. There are fully serviced hardstanding pitches, plus a selection of pods, static caravans and a bunkhouse. Onsite is a play park and launderette. Set along a river, it is a great spot for fishing (permits required), and only five minutes from the A9 for exploring the area.

About Black Rock Caravan and Camping Park
Enjoy a peaceful, family friendly break to the Scottish Highlands at this riverside site with a selection of accommodation options and easy access to Scotland's East Coast with the A9 a five minute drive away and Inverness 30 minutes by car. For tourers, there are fully serviced hardstanding pitches that are complete with a 16 amp electric hook up, WiFi at the pitch, water and drainage hook up and a TV aerial. These pitches have a grass area next to them for setting up your table and chairs. Pitches are suitable for caravans, campervans, roof tents and motorhomes. For those who prefer glamping or don't have a tourer, there are a selection of pods. There are two camping pods which are perfect for those wanting the camping experience but don't have a tent. These feature four sleeping platforms, a small table, a microwave, a kettle and mugs. The pods are heated and have plug sockets with USB ports too. Or, for those not wanting to sacrifice their home comforts, there are a selection of luxury pods, one sleeping two, another four and another six. These pods have an ensuite bathroom, heating, electric and a TV. Outside of the six person luxury pod is a picnic bench, and outside of the two and four person luxury pods is a picnic table. The two and six person luxury pods have equipped kitchenettes with a kettle, fridge/freezer, sink, hob, oven, microwave and utensils. The four person pod has a campers kitchen with a microwave and kettle. The two person pod has a double sofa bed, the four person pod has an additional bunk bed and the six person pod features a convertible dining bench and a double bed on a mezzanine level. There is car parking beside all of the pods. You'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere yet the A9 is just five minutes away and is the main route from Perth to Truro making it easy to explore the Highlands and the East Coast. Loch Ness is a 45 minute drive away and Inverness can be reached within half an hour. Up to three dogs are welcome on the touring pitches and two are permitted in the camping pods. Dogs are not allowed in any of the luxury pods. You're welcome to use a BBQ just please ensure that they are raised from the ground and attended to by an adult. Open fires are not permitted.

Things to do on site and in the Evanton area
The site's riverside location makes it a great spot for fishing, Loch Glass is also a 25 minute drive from the site where guests can fish. Do note that permits are required. Or, head to the historic town of Dingwall (10 minutes) rich in Viking history and a great spot for hiking and cycling.
Inverness (30 minutes) is The Highland's largest city, again rich in history with the 19th-century cathedral, an indoor Victorian market and the 18th-century Old High Church. Or, if you're not looking for city life there are plenty of hiking and cycling routes around the lakes and forests that surround Inverness.
Of course, no Scottish adventure is complete without a visit to Loch Ness (50 minutes), keep an eye out for Nessie on a boat trip around the 23 mile lake, spot the ruins of Urquhart Castle and the Falls of Foyers can be reached by a 20 minute walk from the loch.
