A stay at award-winning Drummohr allows you to have the best of both worlds, whether that be a short break, stopover en route to the NC500 or a longer stay. Open all year, allowing guests to explore the Christmas celebrations in Edinburgh. Be sure of a warm and personalised welcome from Angie and her team. Beautifully landscaped, with green open spaces, the site boasts spacious grass and hardstanding touring and tent pitches, all with electric and some serviced for grey waste and water, ensuring a sense of privacy wherever you're pitched. An abundance of birds nestling in the trees that surround this tranquil haven. Seasonal pitches available. Range of heated glamping pods, some including an ensuite WC. Three themed glamping pods, perfect for young families. 2 and 3 bedroom hot tub lodges and a self-catering cottage offers contemporary luxury accommodation with hot tub. Short stroll from the glimmering blue waters of the Firth of Forth, which teems with bird and marine life, and the scenic John Muir Way, an excellent shoreside foot and cycle path, which passes through Musselburgh and Prestonpans, where there are a range of amenities. Canine companions are welcome to join you, there's a dog walk round the site, a dog wash with hot water and plenty of dog walking nearby. Two well behaved dogs are welcome free of charge on all touring pitches. Bus stop close to the site entrance allowing easy access into Edinburgh. Trains run every hour from Wallyford to Waverley and take 10 minutes. Buses and trains also run East along the coast to North Berwick.

Two toilet blocks complete the site, with free hot showers, family/accessible bathrooms with baths, an indoor camper's kitchen with vending machines and laundry (metered). Drinking water spots are within easy reach.

There is a large children's playground in the centre of the site. Fire pits and BBQs for hire. Information room with board games, books and DVDs to borrow. Small, licensed shop selling essentials and a range of local produce, including real ales, gin and ice cream. Secure bike storage and electric vehicle charging point. Free WiFi.

Bus stop close to the site entrance allowing easy access by public transport into Edinburgh city. Trains run every hour from Wallyford to Waverley and take just 10 minutes. Buses and trains also run East along the East Lothian coastline to North Berwick.

Arrival time for pitches is between 1-6pm (4pm in winter), departure by 12 noon.

Arrival time for glamping is between 2-6pm.


You will be spoilt for choice at Drummohr. Take the bus from close to the site entrance or the train (Wallyford Station is a 15-20 minute walk).

Choose to go East and explore the villages and coastline of East Lothian or travel West into Scotland's capital city to enjoy the attractions, landmarks, culture, restaurants and bars and events of Edinburgh such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Zoo.

Musselburgh is a 2-mile walk or cycle ride along the shoreline of the Firth of Forth along the John Muir Way and has a high street, river, beach and fishing harbour, as well as golf courses and the famous Musselburgh Racecourse. There are a range of local amenities in Musselburgh and nearby Prestonpans.

There are over 20 golf courses within a 30-minute, including some of Scotland's most famous courses which is why East Lothian is known as Scotland's Golf Coast. The Royal Musselburgh is located next door to Drummohr.

Why not visit the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick or take a boat trip to Bass Rock or the Isle of May to see some of the famous nesting seabirds and seals, including a huge gannetry.

There are some fabulous beaches along the coastline, perfect for walking, sunbathing, birdwatching and watersports. Historic castle, quaint harbours and soaring cliffs nestle along this beautiful and peaceful corner of Scotland.

For walkers, as well as the big attraction of the John Muir Way, which will lead your feet over 134 stunning miles from Dunbar in the East to Helensburgh in the West, there are the Pentland and Lammermuir Hills, as well as numerous circular strolls. The John Muir Way is a walk of over a week that takes in stunning coastline and countryside and one you won't want to miss.

Other great things to see and do locally include PrestonGrange Industrial Heritage Mining Museum, Newhailes Estate, Tantallon Castle, John Muir Country Park, Daljeith Country Park, East Links Farm Park, Tynninghame House and the National Museum of Flight.
