When entering the site was greeted with camp owner. She explained everything to ourselves and it was so clear and accurate. I would highly recommend this site for great location and friendly customer service.

The site was in a beautiful location and met all of our needs. We chose this site because of the location and for it being a small campsite. The toilets and shower were clean and enough for the size of the site. The owners were lovely and really helpful. we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Great little site and only a couple of years old. Easy location to find. Kids love it and adults enjoy the peace whilst they're playing. I think there are planning expanding the electric plots and a little play park which would be great. Fantastic family run site though. Definitely recommend.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner herself and had free choice of spots on the large meadow. The campsite is very well suited for taking short or long hikes in the nearby hills or simply sitting by a fire and relaxing. The children had plenty of space to play soccer and also made friends with the friendly goats. We wish Becca much success with her camping and say thank you!

We had a great time at bush of ewes. The tent pitches had plenty of space and we had a nice flat spot for our tent. Lots of space for kids to play and a river running through to walk up. Loads of hill walking on both sides of the A7.

A lovely wee campsite run by the nicest family who were all very happy to help with anything we needed. As well as the stunning views, the site provides flat, well kept and massive pitches with excellent drainage. We camped on one of their electric pitches and found it perfect for our set up. On site they have sheep, goats and chickens that they bring round and let you pet and feed. There is fresh eggs and wood for sale, and fire buckets which are provided free if you need one. It is right by the river which is excellent for a river walk and a dip if you're brave enough. Simple toilets and shower, nothing fancy but exactly what you need from a campsite. Somewhere to wash dishes would elevate the experience but we had what we needed to do it at our tent so wasn't a problem. It's on the A7 which is excellent for people on foot and makes it easy to visit the local area if you have a car. Depending on where your pitch is, you might hear the cars on the A7. On arrival, we thought it would bother us but it wasn't a problem at all and didn't detract from our experience, which was absolutely brilliant! A great place if you have children too, lots to explore, animals to discover and a play park just next door at the community centre. There was enough to keep both our 15 and 7 year old very happy. The swing above the river was almost as big a hit as Commander Dave, the friendliest sheep we have ever met. Nick and his family shared their knowledge of different breeds, how to keep them and feed them which was a really special experience for us all. Very reasonably priced for what you get. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home, even put up a wee bouncy castle for the kids because it was so sunny. We very rarely go to the same campsite more than once. We like to see different places, but we will definitely visit Bush of Ewes again, it really was such a lovely wee place!

Thank you for the great review, we are planning on moving all the electric / hardstanding pitches away from the road and into the camping field. Really glad you all enjoyed your stay and meeting all the animals. I think commander Dave will be having a well earned rest in a couple of weeks 😀 Hope to see you all again.

We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved our time here. Our 2 young children also had a great time. They had particular fun in the river paddling and swimming. Being able to sit up at night with a warm fire, roasting marshmallows and having some gorgeous views surrounding us was just perfect. The service from the owners was excellent, very friendly, welcoming and ensuring we had everything we needed. Allowing my inquisitive children to get up close to the farm animals made their day. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Such a lovely little site. It is adjacent to the A7, just outside Langholm. Some may be concerned about traffic noise but we were there in July and did not find this a problem and indeed, overnight there was hardly any noise at all. The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside and hills. We were staying in a campervan and thought the facilities were excellent. The showers and toilets were beautifully clean and there was fresh water available, along with a chemical disposal point. The owners were friendly and helpful and what a bonus to meet the goats and be able to buy fresh eggs.
