Firbank Park is located in the beautiful Royal Deeside within the Cairngorms National Park. This is the place to come if you love nature, peace and quiet. The eight electric hardstanding pitches are nestled amongst tree lined touring fields and are generously spaced out within the four acre site. For days out, Balmoral Castle is just a 20 minute drive away, and Aberdeen and the coast are just under an hour drive.

About Firbank Park
Enjoy pitching up on generously spaced out pitches nestled amongst four acres of mature Douglas fir, Scotch pine and oak trees. This small touring site is located directly next to The River Dee in Aboyne in the picturesque Cairngorms National Park. Overall there are eight electric hardstanding pitches, each measuring 8m x 5m, with 16 amp electric and water taps. Members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club can find six pitches in their area of the site, each spaced 20m apart, and non members can find two pitches in a separate field with 60m spacing. The site has easy access to an abundance of wonderful walks, cycle tracks and the local Munros right on your doorstep, perfect for exploring the great outdoors. Balmoral Castle is also just 20 minutes away, and Aberdeen is just under an hour. BBQs are allowed, but campfires are not, sorry. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of four per pitch. The site does not allow tents.

Site rules and policies
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Dog waste must be picked up and disposed of properly.
No noise after 10pm.
No Tents.
No Campfires or disposable BBQs
Things to do on site and in the Aboyne area
There is an abundance of wonderful walks, cycle tracks, Munros (mountains at least 3000ft high) to climb all right on your doorstep. The River Dee is also less than 50m to the north of the site where guests can enjoy fishing or wild swimming.
Alternatively, you could simply stick around onsite and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Dinnet Wood, one of the oldest oak woods in Scotland, runs behind the site and you may well spot wildlife such as red squirrels, badgers, roe deer and buzzards passing by.
At the local Glen Tanar Estate(10 minutes) guests can enjoy many outdoor activities. From salmon and trout fishing, to horse riding and wildlife photography, there is something for everyone.
Balmoral Castle is only a 20 minute drive away and you may be lucky enough to see a member of the Royal Family who regularly take walks around Ballater and the surrounding area. If you see someone you think looks like Royalty then it probably will be!
For whisky lovers, the local Lost Loch distillery is just 15 minutes away. Here you can enjoy tours and tastings, or even take part in the Spirit Schools and enjoy a day of learning, making and coming home with a bag full of goodies.
