Just ten minutes from the Lincolnshire Wolds, The Red Lion is a family friendly and welcoming destination set in the grounds of a 19th century coaching inn. There are grass and hardstanding pitches for tents and tourers spread across the one acre site, with the pub serving a range of tasty dishes every day. Skegness is within a half hour's drive from the site, and you'll have walks along the Wolds on your doorstep.

Bumpy site, but cheap and cheerful

Loads of space, but slightly uneven ground, so had to pick my pitch carefully. Nice soft earth to peg out in, but my chair sank as I sat in it as a result. Need some blocks or bricks available to raise stoves off the ground and stop grass damage (and to stop my chair sinking). A bit noisy from the road and airplanes during the day, but not too bad. Comfortable and lovely birdsong in the morning. Not expensive and had all the right features.

A very nice campsite, just what we were looking for. I would recommend as it's reasonably priced, shame about the weather, but there was nice pub food. Very happy customer and will be back 👍
Really enjoyed the site

Great quiet campsite, perfect for families. Good facilities, although showers could be cleaner. Good attractions nearby and an easy drive into Skegness and Ingoldmells.

Used campsite while going to Cadwell park, great location for that as only 20 minutes away. Facilities are good but bin area needs a bit of TLC, a lot of rubbish laying around. Toilets and showers were clean, good walk to aviation museum if you have a dog.
Fab site, no complaints

A lovely quiet site. A great stop over point for moving further on or staying exploring the area. The attached pub is a bonus good food at decent prices. Made to feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Will definitely use this site again.

Could do with the toilet cleaned a little bit more regularly, apart from that, nothing but praise.

A lovely place, well worth the money. The only down fall was that there was no hot water to wash the pots and pans at the washing station. Had to go back to the tent and boil a kettle, but that's not a problem only a down fall. My wife didn't like the camera in the toilets. I understand that you have to have this incase of vandalism, but this should be on the outside not inside. She felt like there was no privacy whilst taking a shower, as everyone can watch you in the pub on the screens. My wife has said all of that has put her off the campsite.

Staying at The Red Lion campsite as I was going for a ride on a Lancaster Bomber. Location is awesome if you are visiting Just Jane at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, literally a five minute walk to the place. Toilets/Showers were clean and pleasant to use. The site was clean and well signposted and I found my plot with no issues. Spent a couple of pleasant days on the site. I'll be back at some point.
Lovely site but nowhere to empty waste water

Excellent quiet site with easy access to the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre. Small village shop across the road. Really think though if they offer deluxe pitch it would have somewhere on site to drain waste water.

Booked for one night just for a break. Little site is in a small village but next to a pub and general store. There was a toilet block with showers. The campsite and facilities were all very clean and fully working. Had all the necessities we needed for a great price. The pub serves good food and drink at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and directions were clearly signposted on site. Email instructions also perfectly clear. Would definitely stay again!

Basic facilities but super clean and very reasonably priced pitches. Adjacent pub serves delicious food for very reasonable prices. Located a couple minutes walk to the Aviation Museum and about 8 miles from Coningsby so a perfect location!

This is a lovely site - I absolutely recommend it. We only stayed for one night this time as we were introducing our massive and very excitable dog to camping. It could have been a disaster... We have stayed here before which is why we chose it this time around - it's not too far from home for us so if it all went pear-shaped we could have bundled the dog and the tent back in the van. But, we didn't need to worry! The only thing that wasn't spot-on for our stay was the weather. There was an almighty downpour but that's part of the fun of camping, right? The site is very well organised - pitches are big and clearly marked. The facilities are clean and well looked after. You are made to feel very welcome on this site - the staff are very helpful and friendly. In fact, the friendliness is what we liked about it the most, and the reason we went back. It's a quiet, relaxed site. The pub is excellent - super food and beer and again the staff can't do enough for you. This site would be perfect if you are an aircraft enthusiast, but even if you are not remotely interested (like me!) it's still a great site, and puts you in easy driving distance of the seaside. All in all, it offers excellent value for money and is well recommended.

I looked for a site with a pub, dogs welcome, campfires allowed, WC, shower and electric pitches. The site is well kept and has large pitches. The price included electric, dog and awning for only £20, which is a bargain. The owner Chris was polite and helpful. The pub, although not open every day, served good food in large portions with a good selection of draught beers. Couldn't fault the place. Only about 17miles from Skegness or Mablethorpe.
