About Jockhedge Holiday Cottages and Touring Site
Spacious pitches are within 25 acres of green land and are situated in the village of Burgh-le-Marsh, at the foot hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds. There are beautiful views of the unspoilt surrounding countryside to be had and just 5 miles away is the seaside resort Skegness. Ideal for families and couples, this touring park offers 20 fully serviced hardstanding caravan pitches with electric, water and drainage on every pitch. There are even three super pitches which have an additional large grassy area to the side ideal for larger families. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Site opens from the 1st March - 30th November. Seasonal Pitches available. Local nearby winter storage available.

Site rules and policies
Please try and familiarize yourself with the below site rules. They are displayed at reception & in the toilet & shower block.
If you're looking for a loud party site, then we are not the place for you!
Reception
Opening times are generally between 9.00-18.00 but these may shorten during off peak times and lengthen during peak periods. For emergencies after the reception has closed, there is a list of emergency contact numbers, emergency services, doctors, hospitals etc available in Reception window.
Pitching
In order to maintain an adequate fire safety gap and to be able to connect your grey waste directly to the drain, please position your unit over the drain and your awning on the right hand side. Only one car per pitch, please leave any additional cars in one of the car park areas.
Motorised Vehicles
We politely request that all drivers adhere to the strict 10mph speed limit in place across the whole of the premises.
Car and caravan washing is not permitted on site.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome between the hours of 9.00-21.00. Please ask your visitors to report to reception upon arrival to sign in and again to sign out on their departure and park in the reception car park.
Fire
In the event of a fire please evacuate to the emergency assembly point next to the toilet block. In the event of discovering a fire please raise the alarm by ringing the bells located on the fire points around the site.
Vacating your pitch
The departure time is 12.00 on the day of departure. Anyone wishing to stay on longer than this needs to speak with the reception staff the day before departure. A late stay can normally be arranged providing the pitch is not booked out to another guest.
Toilets, showers and Children's Play Area
Please supervise children at all times in the toilet, shower and play areas. Ensure you close the door after entering/ leaving the toilet and shower block. The blocks will be cleaned twice each day and may be closed temporarily during these times. We ask you to please leave the toilet and shower areas as you would hope to find them.
Pets
Dogs are welcome on-site but must not be left unattended during your stay and must be kept on a lead. The following breads of dog are not allowed on site: American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fila Brasilerio, Dogo Argentino even if muzzled as required under current governmental legislation. Please clean up after your dog and ensure it does not cause a danger or disturbance to other guests.
Sanitation and refuse disposal
The chemical toilet disposal area is located at the far end of the site near pitches 12 & 13. A refuse point is located near the site entrance. Please ensure all rubbish is disposed of prior to your departure and help us to recycle by separating your rubbish into the correct containers.
BBQ/ Campfires
No fires of any kind are permitted on site. We do allow BBQs but they must be raised off the ground and must be disposed of appropriately by guests prior to your departure.
Fishing
Fishing is available on-site. Anyone wishing to fish must report to reception staff and pay a small fee before setting up. Children must be supervised at all times around the lake.
Noise Nuisance
Please be considerate of other campers and visitors to the site and keep music and noise to a minimum.
We do request that, after 23.00 hrs, campers respect that this is quiet time.
Ball Games
Ball games are not permitted around the caravans. Please use the field for this purpose.
Finally, please be advised that we will not tolerate any persistent noise nuisance, rude or unruly behaviour. Anyone found to be causing a problem will be asked to leave without a refund.
The Manager's decision is final.
Things to do on site and in the Skegness area
Skegness - Five miles away with various entertainment for all the family. Clean long beaches, fun fairs, crazy golf, various cafes/shops and also offering excellent golf courses. Bring the little ones to the The Fairy Dell child's paddling pool area. Natureland the seal sanctuary. Skegness Water Leisure Park where you can experience the thrills of water skiing on one of the UK's top facilities. An ideal way to cool off on those hot summer days but with wetsuit hire to keep you warm on those bracing days. Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is an area of some 430 hectares comprising of sandy and muddy seashores, sand-dunes, saltmarshes and freshwater habitats extending for a distance of about 3 miles along the Lincolnshire coast, from the southern end of Skegness to the entrance of the Wash.
Ingoldmells - Five miles away with the themed family resort Fantasy Island, located on the coast near Skegness, with white-knuckle and family rides alike. Europe's biggest outdoor market. Long sandy beaches. Butlins funcoast world with fantastic indoor and outdoor family pools. Hardys Animal Farm where you can see pigs being born in their specially glazed breeding unit, feed the goats, cattle and many other animals allowing the children to learn about modern farming and interact with animals in a safe and fun environment. Hardys Animal Farm also has baby lambs, goats, cows and chicks being born throughout the year.
Alford - market town with craft markets, manor house and windmill. This ancient market town once served the farming community with its cattle market and produce auction. The lively market still continues every Tuesday. Alford now features the craft market on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the summer.
Horncastle - a bustling and attractive market town, renowned for its antique shops, with a fine heritage and unspoilt by modern developments. There are some notable historic buildings, including the 12th-century Church of St.Mary and it's a good base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. There is also a lovely country cycle path from Horncastle to the village of Woodhall Spa with monuments and interesting points of interest.
Woodhall Spa - a beautiful inland resort with an Edwardian character, set amidst magnificent pine woods. Regarded as one of Lincolnshire's most attractive villages. The village has a variety of attractions including two top class golf courses, the unique 'Kinema in the Woods', Cottage Museum, Jubilee Park outdoor heated swimming pool and several aviation heritage sites associated with 617 Squadron (the Dambusters).
Louth - a beautiful inland Georgian market town. The town has a variety of attractions including Hubbards Hills, which includes a beautiful walk and paddling area.
The City of Lincoln - 1 hour drive from Burgh le Marsh, which is famous for the Cathedral where scenes from The Da Vinci Code were filmed. Take a tour of Lincoln Castle where one of the four remaining copies of the original Magna Carta is securely displayed. With quaint cobbled streets, various boutique clothes, coffee and craft shops, the city of Lincoln is well worth a visit. Nearby Rand Farm Park is a genuine working farm for children of all ages to enjoy. With a large variety of animals for you to hold, feed, touch and cuddle. Indoor heated play area, with a spacious tearoom and coffee bar.
