About Denny Wood Campsite
A haven for nature lovers, this peaceful site is situated in a beautiful and secluded spot of the New Forest National Park. Made up of open grassland, tree-lined edges, ferns, oaks and fallen trees, the site is also a big hit with the local wildlife, with frequent visits from horses, donkeys and other wandering animals! The site welcomes up to 70 tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs at one time, each with its own 8m x 5m pitch. Pitches come without electric, allowing up to six guests, with the freedom for campers to pick their patch, so you can choose to be nestled under the shade of the trees or in a central spot to soak up the sun. There are also pitches for seasonal use. You are also welcome to bring your own BBQ along, just ensure it is either gas or charcoal and raised from the ground. Campfires, fire pits and disposable BBQs are prohibited. Please note, there are no toilets or showers onsite so all guests must have access to their own chemical loo. The site is also dog free to protect the ground nesting birds.
Denny Wood Campsite is open from 20/05 to 29/09.

Top marks for a superb location, with very friendly and helpful staff. A good variety of pitches surrounded by woods and horses roaming freely. Easy cycling distance to both Lyndhurst and Beaulieu, will definitely be back to enjoy more of this magical site.

Excellent location with Lyndhurst on the doorstep. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. Downside was if you left the site in your campervan, you couldn't guarantee you would have the same space on your return.

Things to do on site and in the Lyndhurst area
The New Forest and surrounding area offer a wide range of fun activities and family days out to enjoy. You can go horse riding and cycling in the forest or head a little further afield to one of the area's many attractions. With walking and cycling trails all around, you will never be short of things to do.
For some family fun, the New Forest Wildlife Park is a ten minute drive away. Discover a huge range of species, including otters and deer, with the opportunity to even be a keeper for the day!
The National Motor Museum, Beaulieu is also within a ten minute drive and truly offers something for everyone. Car enthusiasts can view the extensive collection of over 250 automobiles, along with the World of Top Gear, and there is even an exhibition on the Special Operations Executive that shows some of the history of secret agents.
