I liked the location of Brosterfield and its quietness. The facilities were fairly clean and the washing up area worked well. On the Sunday morning when the site was busy, there were too few toilet cubicles and washbasins (in the men's toilets at least). When I did eventually get a shower I would have liked a stool or bench to sit on while drying myself. I saw no staff whatsoever during my stay, which felt a little impersonal.
Lovely, quiet, clean campsite in the heart of the Peaks

The campsite was really lovely, easy to get to, and a great base to go out for walks and hikes. The pub is only a 5 minute walk away and serves excellent food! Toilet and shower block was clean and the facilities generally were good. Easy to enter the campsite. The quiet was lovely too, and the whole place felt very calm and respectful :)

We enjoyed our stay, the site has lots of space with fire sites. Great to sit out under dark skies. The facilities have all you need for tents and motorhomes. We would certainly come again.
Gorgeous, new site - great facilities for a solo traveller

I stayed for a single night in a small tent when I had a couple of long hikes planned either side. The site was extremely tidy with a large field for camping and the facilities were lovely, with a small toilet block with two men's showers (and presumably similar for women), that were free, very clean and much more like a shower from home. One note I will add is don't be put off if you put the directions into your sat nav (or what3words, which is what the owners recommend) and you see no gravel path on the google aerial view as they mention in the directions. This is just because the google image is not as recent and there is in fact a path right there as they mention.

Lovely site with all the facilities you could need for camping. 10 min slow walk to a pub in the village, so it's conveniently situated. We live in Sheffield so it's a 20 min drive - we will definitely return.

The campsite was everything you would want. It occupies a fabulous location just outside the village of Foolow. Modern shower block with washing up area. Good supply of hot water. Well managed and secure access barrier. Local pub offers food within a 10 minute walk. Would definitely book again. Thank you, Polly.

The description reflected the site accurately. Access into the site was simple with a code for the barrier allowing users to come and go freely and at any time, which was handy for us, as we left at 4am to experience the outdoor swimming pool in Hathersage for Summer Solstice! Facilities were regularly cleaned and replenished. Communication ahead of our arrival via email with the site owners was great - quick response. I've not given it a 5 star for value for money as I do think almost £30 per night with no electric is at the high end.

Really lovely campsite. Although new, one can tell that a lot of thought and love has gone into it. Short walk to the lovely village of Foolow and its pub is a bonus!

Had the most amazing stay, we even stayed an extra night. Penny and Hannah couldn't have done anything more for you, felt very welcome. The shower and toilets are brilliant and very clean. Very dog-friendly! Mam Tor is 15 mins away. Looking forward to going back in the future!

A lovely site with everything that you need for a stay. Great new toilet/shower block, washing up facilities, fresh water point, waste disposal, nice and quiet, no dramas accessing the site. What more could you want? I will be going back again that's for sure. Well done. Thoroughly recommend this site to anyone.
Don’t bother with the rest, just stay here!

This site is absolutely gorgeous. We came for the climbing and were right in the centre of all the crags, but there's lovely pubs and villages too. The location is just fantastic. Nice and quiet out in the middle of the country. The owner is really lovely and is happy to help with anything. The facilities are basic but lovely. A clean and warm toilet with hot showers and no spiders, a convenient place to wash up. They have no electricity hook-ups or other facilities, but this was all we needed. They even have this little fire pit service where you can rent a fire pit for the night. With firewood, kindling and firelighters it's only £15. Very convenient and nice for an evening's entertainment when camping. This site is perfect for tents. We stayed when the weather was dreadful, so the field was a bit muddy, but it was absolutely fine. Crocs to the rescue! Really just can't recommend this site enough, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We enjoyed our stay at Brosterfield. Clean and open site with facilities that are being developed: should be great place to stay once complete. Owner and local farmer were excellent, helping us when we got stuck on our way out.

The site has ample space and very well situated. It was within walking distance to Foolow village, which has a very nice public house. Barrier at the entrance for safety is a positive feature, the chemical disposal, grey waste and drinking water points are all good. No showers or toilets, but are in future plans. Only issue was grass cuttings not collected made for a very messy porch awning and footwear when raining, but overall, a very nice site in its early days and would definitely visit again.

This is a lovely new site. We understand more facilities will come soon, which would improve the scores above. Communication with the owner was excellent, with instructions meaning we didn't need to see anyone to book in on arrival - other than two campervans the first night we didn't see anyone else the whole time, bliss! Away from the road so very quiet, which is what we wanted. Looking forward visiting again soon!

Just what we wanted. Big field had few other people so lots of space to get a good, back to nature feeling.
