Things to do on site and in the Macclesfield area
On site you are welcome to enjoy walks around the formal gardens and woodland at no extra cost between 8am and 7pm - a lovely way to wake yourself up of a morning and get some fresh air. The only time you won't be able to pop in the gardens is when weddings or events are taking place - so it's worth asking about these when you book.
The hall is open Sundays and Mondays, April to October from 12:30pm to 3:30pm and you'll benefit from a discount on the entrance price for caravanners - just £3 per adult and £1 for children (5-16 years). As with the formal gardens, do check for closures due to special events.
The Hall is on the edge of the Peak District National Park, close to Alderley Edge, which is shrouded in legends and history. The market towns of Congleton, Macclesfield and Knutsford are only a short distance away, plus there's fascinating Jodrell Bank Observatory and Tatton Park.
