Turnpike Farm Caravan and Camping is a quiet site which welcomes families and dogs. It has a back-to-basics ethos, focusing on traditional camping without any bells and whistles where guests can enjoy the simple pleasures of being in nature. Open year round with campfires welcome.
About Turnpike Farm Caravan and Camping
The A1, which makes travelling further afield easy, is just a five minute drive from this base. Pitches are spread across two flat fields, with excellent drainage and electric available in the four acre touring field. Trees add a note of privacy and views are of pretty common land. Keeping it simple, pitches aren't numbered. For tents, it's all about getting back to nature without electric and enjoying the fun of a campfire. To make sure wildlife can make their home here too, some parts of the site are deliberately left to grow as nature intended. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leads.
Open from 1 June to 31 December
There are 2 accommodation options on-site
Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches

Electric Grass Touring Pitches

Things to do on site and in the Biggleswade area
Potton is nice and close, with all the great pub grub and browsable shops you could wish for, but there's also a great pub to be found in Sutton, a mile from site.
Just beyond site is a stretch of natural common land ground, reached via stiles and perfect for a refreshing walk. Bird watchers can head from there to an RSPB reserve to see the local wildlife, or you can saunter off to Sutton for a pint.
An easy five minutes in the car takes you to the Shuttleworth collection and airfield, a must for history fans. It even has a beautiful and tranquil set of Swiss gardens.
