A note from the site themselves...

We're a friendly, family run campsite, perfect for anyone who wants a no-frills approach to camping.

Our family have been farming Gwerniago for over 100 years, and you will no doubt see the fifth generation running around during your stay!

The campsite is unrecognisable from it's humble beginnings when Trevor's mother opened it at the end of the sixties. We still welcome visitors that used to stay with us in the 70's!

We enjoy making improvements every year during the closed months and Trevor is always busy re-seeding pitches or landscaping with the digger (usually last-minute before we open in spring).

Gwerniago is still a working farm, we sell home-grown lamb burgers, eggs from our chickens, firewood from our fallen trees, and you'll see our livestock all around you as you're camping.

We welcome anyone to come and visit the campsite, and look forward to meeting old and new customers every year!

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesSep 2024

This is a quiet site, with good views over the Dyfi valley looking out to the coast. I had a hardstanding fully serviced pitch, which was a good size as the site is tiered on the hillside. It stayed in good condition, surrounding grass included, despite fairly heavy rain. The pitches are well spaced out with each having it's own picnic bench. Good sized shower cubicles with plenty of hot water. Machynlleth is 5 mins away, with rail links both up and down the coast if you fancy a break from driving.

Quiet and lovely views
