About Alum House Littlebeck
This peaceful and friendly site sits within the North York Moors, offering a true countryside feel, surrounded by woodland and a small stream running through it. Home to the Roe Deer Lodge and two Lotus Belle Tents, each accommodation is named to reflect the local wildlife prominent here—Roe Deer, Jenny Wren, and Barn Owl. Each provides a home-away-from-home experience with fully equipped kitchens, including a fridge, two cooking points, a food prep area, and all utensils and crockery. Roe Deer Lodge, new for 2025, is set in its own private field and accessed via a scenic riverside walkway, offering total privacy. Designed with a luxurious boutique interior, it comfortably sleeps up to two adults and two children, featuring a king-sized bed (bedding provided), along with a sofa bed and a sofa chair (please bring bedding for these). Outside, you'll find a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relaxing, along with thoughtful extras like waffle robes and two towels for added comfort. Jenny Wren, a 5m tent, sleeps two adults on the king-sized bed and up to two children on a futon or camp bed (bedding is provided for the king-sized bed only—please bring pillows and sleeping bags for your children). Nestled near woodland by the river, it's the perfect spot to relax with nature. Outside, you'll find a fire globe, a BBQ/fire pit, and a wood-fired hot tub, along with cosy waffle robes and two towels. Barn Owl, another 5m tent, accommodates two adults in a king-sized bed and two children on a futon and camp beds (bedding is also only provided for the king-sized bed). Outside, there's a BBQ/fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub, offering a serene and secluded escape. Each tent and the lodge features a private outdoor area, perfect for stargazing or alfresco dining, complete with a seating area and BBQ that can double as a campfire. Enhance your stay with added extras such as freshly prepared pizzas, curries, chips, special breakfast or BBQ boxes, and indulgent treats like cream cakes and puff pastries. The wood-fired hot tubs add a touch of luxury to your experience. While wood for the hot tubs is available for purchase onsite, you can also opt to have your tub heated for your arrival at an additional cost. Whitby is just a 15-minute drive away, offering traditional seaside fun, including the famous Fish and Chip Weekend Festival in May! Well-behaved, medium-sized dogs are welcome onsite, with plenty of countryside for them to explore, including a woodland walk leading to the river. Fires are allowed, so don't forget to bring marshmallows to toast for the perfect s'mores experience.
