Mid-week break

Perfect location for Thorpe Park and the South Coast. It was very quiet for our stay as we arrived just after bank holiday weekend. Very clean shower and toilet facilities. The site is well maintained and situated in stunning, peaceful countryside. I had two happy teenagers and an extremely happy little dog on the journey home. Thank you.

Friendly campsite

The owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The electric was intermittent but they did everything to help rectify it. The site was well maintained but could have done with a few more showers and washing up sinks. However, this was indicated by the owner when we arrived so we worked round it by going at the less busier times.

Great little find

A lively little campsite in Sussex. The facilities were very clean and I observed them being cleaned regularly. Lovely friendly staff and fellow campers. The only thing I would say is the pitches were quite small and the tents were tight closely packed but it was a very lively atmosphere.

Lovely stay

The location is easily accessible by public transport, even without a car. There are lots of lovely trails around the campsite, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. However, the toilet and shower facilities can be improved, especially since the showers and toilets are in the same room, and the floor is almost always dirty. Since you don't get your own pitch but rather a designated area in a big pitch - you can be quite close to your neighbour campers and they can still be up quite late, and sometimes loud. It would be great if there was some sort of quite hour rule. All in all, it was a nice experience.

Bank holiday weekend

Lovely little basic campsite, all staff are friendly and super helpful. Only downside, could do with having a couple more washing up stations and a larger shower/ toilet block. I liked that they had a communal fridge, freezer and washing machine. I would definitely recommend Sussex Topiary for quiet weekend getaway.

You can't go wrong

A very clean well set out site. The owners and staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to come back.

Quiet campsite in scenic setting

Lovely, open campsite in a beautiful area, with good flat grass pitches and plenty of space. There's a pizza van on Friday evenings which is delicious. The pitches are informal and generous in size and there are good washing up, laundry and shower/toilet facilities, although only 2 showers for whole site (2 female/2 male) which could get tricky. It wasn't too busy, so this wasn't a problem for us. It was very quiet at night, no road noise or rowdy campers! We had a great stay, many thanks.

Shocking stay, so noisy

On the 1st night, the noise level was loud until 3am with the loudest hand driers going off all night keeping everyone awake. On the 2nd night, a low loader came to offload a campervan at 4am, they were having a great chat whilst they were doing it as well. There are only 2 female showers for the entire camp site, one of which kept breaking, and only 2 proper toilets. To be fair, the toilets and showers were kept clean, the location is good and the site pleasant, but seriously let down by the lack of facilities. I won't be rushing back or recommending it.

Wonderful 2 night decompression

We were looking for something simple and relatively close by to test camping trips with our Romanian rescue dog. It did not disappoint and he wasn't as nervous as anticipated. Anyone who's rescued a pup from there will understand. The site was well kept, the owners greeted us on arrival and showed us where we could pitch our tent and informed us about local attractions. Needless to say, we'll be back. Hopefully by then the council will have done the right thing and allowed them to build newer facilities.

Needs improvement

Nice people and they did mention facilities are due to be updated but not enough at the moment, even temporarily. No toilet roll most of the time. Electric also kept cutting out but was trying to fix it. Okay site.

Lovely camping weekend

Lovely campsite, the owners were really friendly, running the site extremely efficiently. There are plans for additional toilets/showers to be built, which will be great for busy times

Nice & quiet but limited facilities

Limited toilets only, only 4 toilets for over 100 tents is really not good, pitch is quiet and nice - more toilets will make it 5 star.

Best site

I must thank the staff here, we turned up the same time a lot of others did, we got told our plot and as we went to have a look I realised that my son who's autistic, would be very unhappy as it was close together and busy.-my fault entirely. After having a brief discussion with the man, I said can we hide in a corner somewhere and he proceeded to give us a corner space no problem at all. Then we pitched up and realised we took 2 spaces up, but nothing was said and we continued our stay. Absolutely a nice break and 1 happy child. Such a huge thank you to the staff, and more so to the friendly accommodating man!

Camped at Sussex Topiary

Had a great last minute stay at this campsite and even got upgraded on arrival onto a hard standing as we had a large van which was great! I didn't think 2 showers would be enough for the amount of guests but it seemed to work out fine and didn't have to queue once. It was good to be able to book just 2 nights on a Bank Holiday weekend too.

Great site

This is a lovely site, well-maintained pitches and clean facilities. The staff were lovely and helpful too, offering advice and information on the local area with a smile. The site was busy while we were there but it still felt calm and relaxed. The perfect place to recharge your batteries and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Enjoyable

Lovely site, owners where so nice and helpful, very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Would recommend 100%. Site was keep clean and well looked after.

Great site, quiet and welcoming hosts

Stayed for 3 nights during June '22 half term. Very relaxed, well run site by extremely welcoming hosts. Relatively small and several fields are well screened, lots of large trees for shade and generally flat pitch areas. When we arrived had complete choice of where we wanted to pitch, showers and toilets were cleaned regularly, well stocked and to a higher standard than most sites I have stayed. Overall, highly recommended and we will return!

Great little campsite

What a wonderful campsite! Perfect location for us to get to London and Worthing. The campsite has everything you need for a great break, and the staff are so helpful.

Very nice campsite

Great location. Nice open fields, easy to set up. The owner is very welcoming, and even came over to greet us, as she was not around when we arrived. Bbq's and fire pits to rent at very reasonable rates. They are still working on the site, but nothing detracted from our stay. Only issue was the toilet and shower facilities. If these were improved this would be a 5 out of 5 star stay.
