About Lantern & Larks Bleasdale
Lantern & Larks Bleasdale is located on the western edge of the Forest of Bowland. Within easy reach of Lancaster, the site is set in a rolling green patchwork of grazing land stitched together by hedgerows, trees and dry stone walls. The Bowland Fells are a perfect backdrop. The spacious tents are furnished to the highest standards, with solid decked floors and a wood burning stove to keep you cosy on cooler days. You'll also find a fully fitted kitchen, open plan lounge and dining area, plus private shower room and separate wash room. The area has numerous walks and fantastic sights, with local cycle networks and bridleways for the more intrepid. Local horse riding centres specialise in taking riders on treks round the local riding network, or take a cruise on the Lancaster canal from the Barton Grange Garden Centre (just 10 minutes away).
If the local wildlife (deer in the valley below your tents, and the famous sky dancer or hen harrier on the fells above you) isn't to your taste, the Bowland Wild Boar Park is a 20 minute drive away.
Or for thrill seekers, Blackpool pleasure beach is 30 minutes away, along with Blackpool Tower, the Sealife Aquarium, the zoo and the Sandcastle Waterpark.
Other local attractions include:
