Lovely location in Painter's Forstal with nice flat camping areas with plentiful EHU's. Karen & Simon welcome each party personally. There was a good mix of campers while we stayed and the evening noise curfew was largely observed. Amenities on-site are great and well maintained, on-site shop is handy for essentials. The site is about a mile outside Faversham, just off the M2 (but you rarely hear it) and an hour's bike ride from the cute seaside town of Whitstable. Margate, should you need to go, is 30 minutes by train from Faversham. The local pub, The Alma, is very popular. If you want to eat there, book it, like, yesterday. We had a lovely time exploring the local area and look forward to coming out this way again soon.
So enjoyable

Although being near to and able to hear the night time traffic of the M2, this campsite is wonderful. It had fruit trees dotted around which provide shade as well as fruit. It so clean, well kept with plenty of space per pitch. The bathrooms had hot water and the toilet rolls were plentiful and of a good quality. A separate field for parking and another for ball games for the children. There was a pub serving good food just a short walk away. The town and villages of Kent to explore were within a short drive.

We were greeted with friendly faces and smiles. Our pitch was very suitable for our needs and right next to a plum tree. The site, even though small, was great for those that just wanted to relax. It was lovely to be able to take our dog and to have a fire pit if we needed one. The site itself was spotless and clean. The toilet and showers area were cleaned. But actually, for a campsite, I never walked in to find filth. Overall 5*s, would recommend this quaint camping site.
Great stay!

Clean toilets and showers. Washing machine and tumble dryer for a small charge and a chest freezer so you can put your freezer packs in free of charge. There is also a small shop onsite with essential foods to buy as well as some ice lollies at reasonable price. There is a little dog exercise grass and a football one for the kids to use and I also loved the idea of parking in the car park once unloading for safety of the children. Friendly staff that run it and are very helpful and would definitely come back.

Wonderful greeting - felt very welcomed. Superb location right next to the pub and with a lovely dog walk through the woods. Lovely hot showers - never needed to queue. Went to Whitstable for the day. 20 minutes from Painters Farm. Wonderful seaside town. We'll definitely be back to Painters Farm again. Highly recommended 10/10

We loved this site as it was remote, and it had everything we needed for our small set up. Arrived in the afternoon, and the hosts were fantastic in guiding us to our pitch. We had a long stay, so they arranged for a lovely pitch with a table and shade from a tree. It was idyllic and she promised great views of the sunset - which duly delivered. The site is very clean and tidy, and we were advised that cars were to be parked in the adjacent field once tents had been set up, which at first I thought was an odd request (parking away from your tent), but it really helped keep the site tidy, and gave everyone so much more space to relax in and we were pleased the suggestion was made. For us, as a couple with a dog, we had absolutely everything we needed. We had the benefit of having the tree shade which considering the weather (pretty solid 2 weeks of 27+ degrees every day) and this was a godsend. The table, with having the dog was just imperative as we were able to provide her with some much needed shade and respite from the temperatures. Although not so much of an issue, the only thing we thought could be improved on is the shower and toilet block. Let me start by saying they're fine - but for a few quid, they could be massively improved. The shower heads sprayed water wherever they felt - with one stream particularly piercing (especially when catching a particularly sunburnt ear!). Tweaking to get the perfect temperature was an artform - but once you know the setting for you, it was repeatable on the subsequent days to get things where you liked them. The toilets sometimes struggled to flush - but I suspect that this may have been the action of the kids on site fiddling with the stopcock next to the toilets on the wall as they were barely dripping into the cistern until they were turned. Either way, they could be protected against menacing, or the toilets improved a little. One thing I will say though is that the facilities were kept immaculately clean - never had a problem with cleanliness on the entire site. I can't complain though, as it was a clean, hot shower daily and the toilets were always clean with paper readily available. The shop provided the essentials, and unlike other places we have been to, didn't punish people for forgetting essentials - nor seek to unnecessarily profiteer from their clientele by charging £10 for a match. The prices were very reasonable, and it was open from morning until evening. We used it for lovely cold drinks in the sweltering heat, so we were very grateful. The hosts on the campsite were so incredible with us though. They doated on our dog, and she got treats most days from them too. They conversed, and suggested places we may want to visit and they did it all of the time with a smile on their faces. So nice to have that kind of person on hand during your stay, and it made everything seem so personable. All-in-all though - we couldn't recommend the site highly enough. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and we certainly would return if ever back in Kent again.

Best campsite we've stayed at in years. Hosts are so friendly and helpful. Communication before the stay was straightforward with super quick response time. The site is really clean and well maintained (short grass, hooray!). The separate play area for ballgames was a massive hit for the children (and adults!). A fantastic stay was had by all. Thank you Karen & Simon
