Old time glamour from the golden age of rail travel meets modern comfort in High Cross Camping Coach and Living Van. Surrounded by tempting beaches such as West Bay, here you are treated a stay inside a real railway carriage, over 100 years old and filled with period details. Luxurious space and room for two more is provided by it's neighbouring roadman's waggon.

About High Cross Camping Coach and Living Van

Set within a sweet garden at the edge of the village of Netherbury, the huts offer their own enclosed garden with pleasant views across the West Dorset countryside. Your setting is quiet and at the edge of a small village, but with short car drives you can access many activities. There are a host of beaches within 20 minutes along the Jurassic coast - such as West Bay, Burton Bradstock and Charmouth. The carriage has been restored retaining many authentic carriage details like chunky carriage handles, brass lamps, window straps and sliding sash windows, combined with good quality modern comfort. It includes an antique stove to keep you cosy. The carriage's neighbour is a roadman's van, and the two must be booked as a pair, with the van providing seating and a table by day and space for two to sleep at night. It's fantastic for children, and adults alike and heated by a lovely wood burning stove. The coach and van are a great place to unwind and step back in time. Inside their retro comfort you can relax and play games, read, talk and more. This is a quirky experience worth sharing, where you have the unique opportunity to stay in a Victorian train carriage with all modern conveniences you need to make your stay comfortable.
