About the site
This five acre site is ideally located just a stone's throw from a lagoon and a ten minute walk from the sandy shores of Haverigg Beach. With an onsite ice cream parlour and a popular local bar just a five minute walk away, this family and dog friendly site is great for those after a seaside getaway or those hoping to explore the Lake District! There are 30 non electric grass tent pitches measuring 7m x 3.5m. These are suitable for tents, roof tents, trailer tents, single and twin-axle caravans, campervans and motorhomes. There are also seven pitches with pea gravel and ten hardstanding pitches (measuring 7m x 3.5m), which all have a 10 amp electric hook up. The gravel pitches are suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, single and twin axle caravans, campervans, motorhomes and RVs. For those bringing tents, rock pegs are advised. The hardstanding pitches are suitable for all of the above except for tents. They also have a grassed area next to the pitch. Pup tents, awnings and gazebos are allowed at all of the pitches and there is space to park. For those hoping to leave their tent behind, there are four camping pods to choose from. The two-person camping pod has a king-size bed, while the four-person camping pod has wraparound seating that converts into one double and two single sleeping platforms. Inside all of the camping pods is electric, lighting and a small heater. Outside is a fire pit and parking space. Guests have access to shared facilities. If you're after a little more luxury, the Mega ensuite glamping pods sleep four guests with a double bed and double sofa bed. Inside is underfloor heating, a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery, as well as a TV and ensuite bathroom. For both the camping and glamping pods, please make sure to bring your own bedding and towels along. There are also a range of static caravans onsite. The onsite ice cream serves up a range of delicious treats from homemade ice cream to waffles and cappuccinos! Haverigg is also just a ten minute walk if you're hoping to go for an early morning sea swim or enjoy some evening fish and chips! If you're after dinner al fresco, BBQs are permitted, please just make sure they are raised off the ground. Open fires are allowed in raised fire pits.
