A note from the site themselves...

We are a small family run business established by myself (Kirsty), mum, dad, my boyfriend Chris and Milo the dog. Looking for a slower pace of life bought my parents to Todmorden, and my love of hosting and events the Cross Farm Retreat site was born!

The house and land was previously used as a working farm, dating back to the 1800s (we think!), and now we have five acres of beautiful gardens with views of the Pennine Hills

Cross Farm invites you to retreat, restore and revive. We hope to welcome you soon.

Glamping Cabin - The Garden CabinAug 2024

Brilliant stay at the Cross Farm Retreat. Gorgeous place and fabulous location. The only downfall we had was the hot tub not being as warm as we liked, it only became really warm towards the end of the night. Other than this, perfect place and lovely owner who showed us round and could not fault anything else. We would definitely return.

Bell Tent - Stoodley Pike View Bell TentAug 2024

We stayed in the Stoodley Pike Bell Tent at Cross Farm Retreat, and had a lovely stay. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are great. A very clean and attractively decorated amenity block with toilet, sinks, shower and kitchen (and a home-from-home for us with the 'Who Gives a Cr*p' toilet paper and Faith in Nature toiletries). Both the bell tent and the kitchen had plenty of supplies, and we had a mini-fridge in the tent, which definitely came in handy. The tent is also beautifully decorated and very spacious, and the bed was comfortable, with plenty of additional blankets to keep us warm (it was a little cooler than we were expecting for August!). The two seater sofa overlooking the view out of the tent is also great, plus the outside chairs for taking in Stoodley Pike. We didn't use the log burner inside the tent but used the chimenea outside, thanks to the wood supplied (thank you). It was a nice walk down to Todmorden via the canal (though the walk back up the hill is quite an incline so opted for the T8 bus another time), where we can recommend the Three Wise Monkeys Thai restaurant. We also walked from the campsite to Todmorden via the road, stopping off at the Top Brink Inn and The Shepherd's Rest Inn (very nice view). It's also a short drive to Hebden Bridge, with some nice brunch places and a market. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, thank you!

Peaceful cabin retreat - recommended!

We had an amazing time, the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cabin was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The site is in a great location, close to Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, but tucked away in your own little paradise. Recommended!
