Had a great stay here again, fourth time now, facilities are great with good showers, the location is really good, with Durdle Door and Studland about 20 minutes away, there's also a Sainsbury's supermarket just down the road in Wareham. We ordered a firepit and logs which was really good, kids love it.

Need to make people aware that aren't keen on dogs that it is a dog-friendly site.

A very welcoming and rustic campsite . It was exactly as described in the info. The fire pits were a nice touch.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay, very friendly, with plenty of choice on where to pitch and not overcrowded. The fire pit is a nice option for the evening, though you may want to bring your own kindling as this is an optional extra. The facilities are as explained on the website, all very clean and regularly checked. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We only stayed one night but were welcomed on site by the friendly owner. All facilities were explained on arrival. Clean showers and toilets, lovely hot running water and help on hand if needed. I would stay here again, close to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Well worth a stay.

As a first time camper, I was a little apprehensive but needn't have been. Very clean and friendly campsite. Close to lots of local attractions. Clean, hot showers and toilets. Couldn't ask for more. We will be returning for longer next year!

Booked a last-minute stay here with my son. Was greeted by a very friendly lady who explained everything for us, gave great knowledge of the area. The showers were amazing - constant hot water and powerful. No dribbling cold showers was a plus. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family and we will definitely come back

This place was perfect for us as we like campsites, which are quiet and where you are not on top of other campers. We liked the fact that we weren't close to other people. The toilets and showers were beautifully clean and the owners were really friendly and welcoming.

It’s a pretty site ideal for visiting Wareham and Lulworth Cove. The adjoining woods are great for doggos to have a run. We only stayed one night but it was well maintained and the owners are really lovely. We had a fire pit for the evening which was great for toasting marshmallows under the stars :)

Absolutely fantastic. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Facilities were clean - toilets always had toilet rolls and the portaloo showers - just amazing. I've had worse hotel showers!
Worth a visit

Friendly staff, and gave great recommendations for places to see. Facilities were regularly cleaned and the woods were fun to explore in the evenings. Paying for the fire pit was well worth it.

This is a simple campsite done well. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. The site is mainly level, with toilets in a number of areas meaning not everyone heads the same way - good thinking. The site is clean and a joy to pitch on. There's loads of space and options. The atmosphere is friendly, peaceful and relaxed. The absolute star of the show, aside from your hosts, is the shower block. Clean, spacious and hot. I'll definitely be back.
Brilliantly chilled and clean!

We found this place last minute and we were not disappointed. Not only did it on price but the facilities were brilliant and super clean. Love the chilled out atmosphere, you can actually relax and enjoy the weekend.
Not peaceful

After reading how peaceful this campsite is in the reviews, I felt confident it would be suitable for our needs, especially stating the noise curfew between 11am and 7am. Unfortunately the 11pm curfew for noise did not seem to be enforced and there was music and even car alarms going off until 2am. Large groups of teenagers and even a camp with a generator at 11pm! At 5am, we were woken by a walking group getting ready to leave the site for a walk via car at 6:45am, banging car doors from 5am, noisily making breakfast. The site is also located by a fast road, so expect the noise of traffic. Absolutely not suitable for small family groups looking for a peaceful site, in my opinion.
Site's response
The main point I would like to make in response to this review is that we both stay on site all evening and all night, so if anyone is causing a nuisance through selfish behaviour, campers can let us know at any time and we are happy to intervene on their behalf. There is a balance here as it is a place where people holiday and enjoy themselves. Often, they are catching up with friends and family that they haven't seen in a while or sometimes, there are groups doing things like hiking or water sports on the Purbecks or DoE, so there is a certain amount of jolliness but we greet every camper and let them know about our rules on music and behaviour as they arrive and most people are happy to adhere. 11pm, all music needs to go off, and we ask that from 11pm, people keep any further talk to a low level that will not disturb people near them who have turned in. We don't allow stag or hen do's or big birthday parties or groups of teenagers with no adults among them and similar. The groups doing outdoor activities are going to socialise in the evening of course, but they are usually naturally wiped out by around 11 anyway because of their day's activities. We walk around the site at intervals during the evening and intervene if we feel anyone is going over the top and likely to be spoiling the evening for the campers around them. Generators are not allowed on site, we did not hear one on the night in question but if we had or if someone had let us know, we would have spoken to the owner of the generator. Car alarms do go off by mistake sometimes, I'm sure no one is more embarrassed than the car owner when that happens. Sunny weekends in the height of summer can get quite busy on site, but we never overcrowd the site and we see many families both small and large having a great time and returning many times. During the week in the summer months is generally more sedate.

Peaceful weekend's camping in a beautiful meadow backed by old woodlands. The site is maintained by friendly and helpful owners who are clearly passionate about preserving this place, but whose laid back approach makes for a very relaxing stay. You can choose where to pitch, and washing up sinks, toilets and showers (free and with constant hot water) are spotless. Fire pits and logs for hire are a very reasonable price.
