About Woodfrys Farm
Surrounded by the picturesque Dorset countryside, this peaceful off-grid site is an ideal location for switching off and enjoying the outdoors. From your pitch, you can enjoy looking out for owls, kingfishers, otters, deer and more! Tents, trailer tents and campervans can all pitch up on one of the two 10m x 10m Ridge non electric grass pitches. These pitches sit higher up with a glorious bird's eye over the site, perfect for watching aerial displays from the visiting bird life. Nestled in the valley below, you will find the remainder of the non electric grass pitches in a four acre meadow. Set by either the flowing stream of the picturesque lake, there are six 10m x 10m tent pitches, along with a 15m x 10m campervan pitch. All of the pitches come with a private picnic bench for al fresco dining, along with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows (firewood is available to purchase). Being in a dark skies reserve, is it also an ideal spot for stargazing. For those looking for a little bit of luxury, opt for the Withy shepherd's hut. The off-grid hut can sleep up to two, equipped with a double bed, bedding and a small log burner for keeping toasty. Outside you will have your own private compost loo, along with a sink and hot gas shower. Bring a tent or campervan to pitch outside and add up to three extra guests to your stay. Or, there is an option of the Kingfisher bell tent, measuring 4m x 5m and close to the shared facilities. Sleeping up to four with a double bed and two singles furnished with futons and lights. Please bring your own towels, bedding and cooking equipment. Outside you'll find a picnic bench and fire pit with a grill. Be sure to bring along your BBQ too, where local fresh produce can be brought from the onsite farm shop. Here you can also pick up delicious ingredients and snacks, including local ice cream, apple juice, fresh eggs and more! Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch and in the shepherd's hut.
Glamping in the shepherd's hut and camping on the Ridge is available from March to November. Camping and touring on the Water Meadow is available from May to September.
