St Leonards Farm Caravan and Camping Park is within 30 minutes of some of Bournemouth's best beaches, and just a few miles from Ringwood and the New Forest. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with and without electric for tents and tourers, as well as fully furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts. A quiet, family run site with modern facilities and a children's play park, football pitch and indoor soft play area.

St Leonards farm is very friendly. It was incredibly clean, there was plenty of hot water in the shower block. John, welcomed us, he was very friendly and helpful. It was our first trip out and not knowing what we were doing, John helped us. He was so patient and informative, it was very much appreciated. We will be back. Thank you!

A wonderful family campsite with indoor and outdoor play areas for a range of ages (1 to 8 years for us). Staff were great, polite and helpful and all facilities were well kept, in full use and clean. Lovely countryside surrounds the campsite with lots of animals to see yet, just off a main road with shops, takeaways and pub within walking distance.

The campsite was conveniently located, had flat pitches and a quiet atmosphere. I wasn't aware that there was a height restriction on vehicles entering the site after 10:30pm, which limited the time I could spend with my family locally - the intention of my visit. So I was a bit disappointed with my stay.
A really nice little campsite

A really nice little campsite. Far enough from the main road not to be annoyed by the traffic and close enough to get to a Lidl and a pub on foot. Facilities were good - toilets and showers were very clean, drinking water taps everywhere. Very friendly staff, seemed family-friendly. Would stay again.

Nice site, lovely owners, quiet, showers need a bit of attention and toilets not the cleanest. However, I would stay again. Nice pub and shops a ten minute walk. Would recommend.

Enjoyed the stay with friends and kids. Playground was straight in front of the tent. Facilities were a bit far but overall, okay. Staff is nice and helpful. Got a flat battery on the day we had to leave and they let us stay. Will consider this place in the future.

Nice site. Toilet block clean but not many loos for whole site. Loved the addition of the play barn and being able to look at the farm animals. Only negative is that the entry barriers didn't recognise our number plate so delayed us getting in/out. Great location for Bournemouth, Sandbanks etc.

We chose this site as it had a really good set up for youngsters. A great park and a play barn soft play centre, which my daughter didn't actually go in as the weather was fine, we bought plenty for her to keep occupied. Lots of space, pitches were great, pretty much level across the park so no wonky sleeping. Shower blocks were good, nice and clean. The only thing that stops them being 5 star in my eyes are the pump taps, they don't stay on for longer than 5secs and you can't control the temperature either and they are quite hot. I know, 1st world problems but it's very hard to get a child washed in them when it's too hot and you have to keep pushing them on repeatedly. Playing field and park very well kept with no damage or broken play equipment which is a rarity these days on sites like this that cater for our children. The on site burger van is a bit pricey, paid £2 for a can of Pepsi, which put me off straight away, it's a great idea but it never looked busy. It's a very tidy and wonderfully kept site, lovely entrance, lots of shops nearby. Lidl, Sainsbury's, Halfords, McDonald's and an awesome bakery near by too. They only thing which got me a bit peeved was other people's kids coming up to us randomly during our meal times or as such, parents nowhere to be seen outside with them. Feel sorry for the kids as this is not how I was bought up when I went camping with my parents. but this isn't a site problem, it's a parenting one, just a big bare of mine. We saw the owners one more whilst we were getting a workout done in the playing field one morning as were very happy and polite. We went to Moors Valley Country Park and Forest which was really good, plenty for kids to do to keep them occupied and wear them out. You only have to pay for the parking which isn't cheap. £4.90/hour peak times. If you are feeling fairly frivolous then there's bike hire, Go Ape, Segways, train rides you can spend lots more of your money on. It's all good memories at the end of the day. Who said money can't buy happiness? We would definitely stay at St Leonard's again.

We were looking for a location close to Bournemouth, clean and quiet with a playpark suitable to entertain our 9 year old granddaughter. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the site is very well organised and clean, with a large playpark and adjoining football field. The facilities were clean, only let down by push taps for basins and showers which either stayed on or particularly for the showers, required continual pressure to make them work. We were hoping to use the bus with a stop outside the site to get to the beach but with an hour journey, we used the campervan instead. The journey was relatively stress free and we found good parking on the cliff road with a short walk to the beach. There are good shops including a Lidl and Sainsburys within walking distance. There are no country walks from the site but plenty of activities nearby if you are prepared to drive. The site is popular with large family groups who set up gazebos and like to chat into the late evening despite a 10:30 quiet rule. We were unfortunate to be parked next to one such group and spoke to the manager about the noise issue. He was happy to remind them of the rule but we didn't notice much difference. If you like to camp as a family with young children, this site may be ideal for you, but if you prefer a quiet relaxing time, avoid school holidays.

I stayed at this site with my 7 and 10 year old children. I would definitely book.again. The staff are approachable and helpful. There is a fantastic park, a soft play area and so much space for the children to play. There is a farm available to walk around and a nature trail. Music and noise stops at 10:30pm, which is great for us. The location is central, we left the car and got the bus to Moors Valley. Shops are within walking distance. The staff tried to keep the showers and toilets clean and stocked with toilet roll. It was difficult at times due to other people staying on site. The showers and taps only stay on for seconds, this was a nuisance as you had to shower with one hand on the button at all times. There were plenty of bins on site emptied daily. We loved the ice cream van visiting every day. The ice cream man was a friendly chatty guy. It would have been handy if there were bricks for our BBQ. We brought a disposable BBQ but were unable to use it as we were not allowed to place it on the grass. We didn't have a dog with us, however, it was a dog friendly site with a dog field and plenty of bins. Great site, we will be back!

Lovely campsite. Only one thing not right for me is that washing facilities need updating.

The site overall is very good. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We had leaking problems with our caravan and they allowed us to have a new awning delivered to reception and kept it there until we could collect it. Kids facilities are great, our grandson loved the play park and football pitch. It is quite a busy and lively site which we personally love, nothing I like more than the sound of people enjoying themselves rather than deafening silence! That said, all was quite by a sensible time. My only niggle is the showers in the big shower block. Horrible. Very clean but small, cold and there's nowhere to put soap or shower gel or whatever, just the screw holes where a soap dish may have been! Nowhere at all to put your towel, clothes or shoes so that they didn't get wet. Water never hotter than tepid! Posh new shower block is lovely. Quite close to a busy road, so if road noise bothers you it's not good. We will definitely go back. Lots to see roundabouts.

Came here hoping for a nice last night on our holiday tour but unfortunately, couldn't have been further from that. The pitches are overcrowded, very close together and people just walk right through your pitch. We're a young couple who have been brought up camping and clearly, there are users of this campsite who do not understand etiquette of camping. Parents not watching their children, kids kicking footballs at people cars/animals! Tried ringing the out of hours number, but this doesn't work, so had to go and find the wardens to let them know our car was going to be damaged. The toilets are okay but in need of updating. Definitely won't be returning and definitely nicer campsites in the area for less cost.

We stayed for 2 nights in late July to try out our new campervan. The pitches are a good size and well spaced out, and the site is surrounded by woodlands and a farm. Toilet block and wash-up areas, all very clean and supported. There is a walk around the farm area where the usual farm animals can be seen, as well as an interesting collection of "exotic" farm birds, many of which roam free with their chicks. The driveway entrance road is lined by a beautiful display of flowers. It is all provided and maintained by Pete, the farmer. Colin, on reception, was very helpful and welcoming.

No hot water and queues for facilities. Not advised on check in. It felt overpriced and have to say, would not book again.
Site's response
Thank you for your review and we can only apologise for the lack of hot water in the main block. This was due to an unforeseen sudden major equipment failure on Friday. Our gas engineer came as soon as he could but we then had to order parts which only arrived over the weekend and the earliest the engineer could return was Monday. Thank you for your patience and we hope you return when we are 100% operational. We did everything possible to facilitate our customers needs by utilizing our other facilities block including making our easy access room available to all customers, and doubled our efforts to keep these facilities in a good clean condition.

We did have a good time camping at this site, but there were a few disappointing things. Firstly, there was no hot water. Secondly, it was far too noisy. Two groups around us were playing music all day and all evening until past 10pm. They had no respect for the fact that I had a young child with me who was struggling to fall asleep as they kept shouting right by our tent late at night, letting their kids ding their bike bells and shout also. My son couldn't go to sleep as he kept getting disturbed by the noise. I understand that people come to have fun camping, but I came to relax and spend time with my son, not listen to other people's music all day whilst they drink alcohol all day and night. A nice campsite with good facilities which is ruined by disrespectful people.

We booked a last minute camping trip and we were pleasantly surprised! Very big campsite with good pitch sizes and plenty to do for kids. We were near the block of toilets where each cubicle had a separate toilet and shower, with plenty of space for getting changed. Always clean. We were very pleased with our stay.
