Things to do on site and in the Dorchester area
The park includes a kart circuit which hosts both British and international championships, and just two miles away is the Dorset Shooting Ground, a great place to try clay pigeon shooting. Whether you want to participate or support your favourite competitors, there is something for everyone.
The county town of Dorchester is just a short drive away, with its traditional shopping centre and excellent museums and places of interest to visit. Steeped in history, it was home to Thomas Hardy, William Barnes and the notorious Judge Jeffreys of Bloody Assizes fame, to mention but a few.
You could also head across the Somerset border to Yeovil which is only 30 minutes away and has a traditional shopping centre, Octagon theatre, railway centre and so much more.
Being situated in the heart of Dorset there are many beautiful walks and places of interest on your doorstep such as the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, or Bridport with its rope making history and ever popular Saturday and farmers' markets.
Lyme Regis is great for the Cobb - its lovely harbour, its renowned annual jazz festival, or Charmouth for fossil hunting. Perhaps go to Weymouth and relax at Chesil Beach, home to Olympic sailing, or to Blandford for the world famous steam fair.
