Devon has got plenty to offer and the site is situated right in the middle of Devon, not far from the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton on the Two Moors Way.
The northern edge of Dartmoor is close by, great for hiking, horse riding, cycling or just exploring the dramatic landscape of the moor. Local attractions include Castle Drogo (National Trust), Fingle Bridge and the market town of Chagford.
Exeter is only 15 miles east and has plenty to offer including the cathedral and historic quayside. Haldon Forest Park close to Exeter offers forest walks, mountain biking and a Go Ape hire wire forest adventure.
Both the north and south coasts of Devon are within easy reach and provide a diverse coastline range of beaches from the fossil hunting delights of the Jurassic coast in the south with traditional fishing villages such as Beer to the sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde and cliff top walks of north Devon.
Just over the border into Cornwall there are yet more options for surfing and/or family days on the beaches around Bude with Widemouth and Sandymouth Bays and the picturesque cove of Crackington Haven.
